The transgender memoir you won't stop hearing about. Rhyannon Styles will do for transgender what Matt Haig did for mental health. Elle columnist Rhyannon Styles tells her unforgettable life story in The New Girl, charting her incredible journey from male to female. A powerful book about being true to ourselves, for anyone who's ever felt a little lost. Imagine feeling lost in your own body. Imagine spending years living a lie, denying what makes you you. 'It's a boy!' or 'It's a girl!' are the first words almost all of us hear when we enter the world. Before our names, before we have likes and dislikes - before we, or anyone else, has any idea who we are. And two years ago, as Juno Dawson went to tell her mother she was (and actually, always had been) a woman, she started to realise just how wrong we've been getting it.

Now that gender reassignment has become much more commonplace, many of these people may feel increasing pressure to finally undergo the procedures they have always secretly wanted.

Summary
Today, Gigi Gorgeous is beloved for her critically acclaimed documentary, her outrageous sense of humor, her no-holds-barred honesty, and her glam Hollywood lifestyle. Ten years ago, she was a gawky Canadian teen named Gregory. In He Said, She Said, Gigi brings us on her personal journey from Gregory to Gigi, going deeper than ever before and exposing her vulnerability behind each struggle and triumph, with her signature humor at every moment.
With stunning photography and heirloom snapshots, He Said, She Said takes us back to Gigi’s early years as an Olympic-bound diver and high school mean girl, losing her mom at a tragically young age, and her journey of opening up about her sexuality and gender identity. She walks us through her transition, baring it all about dating and heartbreak in her stories of falling in love with both men and women.
Uproarious, unconventional, and unabashedly candid, Gigi shares never-before-heard stories, inspiration, and advice about how your life can take you to incredible places once you get real with yourself.
Critic reviews
“Walking readers through career moves, surgeries, and navigating a love life while still getting to know her own evolving self and sexuality, Gorgeous writes with an open heart and empathy for her past selves (and, spoiler, a happy ending). With fun and glamorous photos, Gorgeous’ memoir is an upbeat, affirming, and thoroughly modern tale of becoming oneself.” (Booklist)
“Gigi exemplifies gorgeous in so many ways and on so many levels. From this book, you will get a sense of how gorgeous she is inside and out.” (Caitlyn Jenner, New York Times best-selling author of the The Secrets of My Life)
“I’ve followed Gigi since the beginning and have always admired her humor, kindness, strength, and honesty - but I only knew the tip of the iceberg. In He Said, She Said, Gigi shows what it means to be a queer icon and keeps you laughing along the way.” (Tyler Oakley, New York Times best-selling author of Binge)

Worst ever says Gigi fan
Worst book I've ever read. I've followed Gigi online since high school, saw her documentary, will continue to check in on her channel. This is just a horrible book. I knew she's vapid and materialistic but this narrative is conceited, redundant, full of unnecessary explanations. Fine content for a rambling YouTube video. She should have hired someone to go deep like her documentary. Nothing meaningful from the potential of this life experience. Disappointing, on brand, lackluster. Nothing for readers older than 15 interested in more than a 1-dimensional persona.

Humanity is done for.
I feel so bad for trans people who are not vapid like this because this is a person representing them. The trans stuff was interesting, but this is an insufferable person, and I lost so many brain cells. Not only is she narcissistic, which is a term that’s very overused, but the way she described “extra” was just the definition of histrionic, another personality disorder. I cannot fathom the entitlement of a real life grown up spoiled brat who never really grew up because Hollywood allowed this person to continue benefiting from stupidity, superficiality, vanity, and acting like a damn fool. Positive reinforcement for bad behaviors. A selfish child who views the world as a playground. This is the reason that parents discipline their children. I’m sick to my stomach that some people are reinforced to be this way because rich parents don’t know how to raise children and because it’s entertaining for people in real life to spectate on people who have no idea what real life is. This “book” made me so sad for humanity.
