Winner takes all and this book is a winner

I enjoyed this book. It is a fun quirky short read, just wish it had been longer but great for a taster of what the series is going to be like and great if you only have a few hours to fill. The cast of characters are fun and I can certainly see them getting up to mischief in the next book, which I am going to start listening to right away.
When Hazel's daughter leaves town to go to Vegas she thinks it is a good idea to leaves her elderly mother in the capable hands of a family friend, so she can't get into any trouble. Shame Hazel doesn't see it that way, she has always wanted to play poker and the only safe hands she wants to see is a four of a kind. Hazel drags Loni and her talking cat along for a grand adventure in Las Vegas because what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, if she can only avoid her daughter.
I liked the narrator and thought she did a good job with the voices needed to make this fun short story come to life.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
