Summary

For centuries people have speculated about the wild things that might live deep within the woods. One popular theory is witches; people believe witches live in the forest and cast curses on those who enter. This may be rooted in the many fairy tales which depict the exact same thing.

Some people also believe that wild creatures, such as the ones described in ancient folklore and mythology, hide within the trees, and seek to scare you. These creatures include everything from angels, to devils, to demons. Some people even believe woodland nymphs and goblins inhabit the forest.

There is no way to determine what spirits are going to stick around and what spirits will move on. Some people who died a horrible, gruesome death are able to move on, but others who simply don't know they died, or are in denial, will not move on. They will continue to walk among the living, sometimes trying to communicate, sometimes trying to torment....

Whatever the reason may be, these woods end up haunted by one or multiple ghosts, which makes for some pretty scary experiences for those who are still living.

If you're reading this, you're probably one of the brave souls who aren't scared of a little fright. But I warn you, these woods will give you more than just a little fright. Or, you may be one of the clever ones who know supernatural forces are nothing to be messed with, so you prefer to just hear about them instead....

Here is a preview of what's inside:

  • A haunted treasure hunt
  • The devil's tramping ground
  • The devil of Pine Barrens
  • Hoia Baciu - the forest of UFOs
  • The headless ghost of Dow Hill
  • Island of the dolls
  • Much, much more!

Good stories, just not for me!

I like to listen to audiobooks when I go to bed at night, to fall asleep to. The problem with this book I found, was the narrator seemed very energetic, and I found this difficult to listen to whilst trying to get to sleep, even with the volume on low.
For someone who listens during the day, it would be fine, it just didn't fit my circumstances.

Great book, with a great narrator

I am obsessed with Roger Mills book is haunted and paranormal Subject right up my alley. The only complaint I have is that I wish they would be longer. They are so short, but I digress. Onto the topic this was a good book most of the stories I had never heard and so I enjoyed it Thoroughly. I especially enjoyed it, because of the narrator Kevin Theise . He is one of the best narrators on Audible and so all in all I give it five stars in every category it totally deserves it.
