Summary

Since the dawn of time, what we have come to know as America has had its fair share of activities and deeds done by people, animals, or manmade things in different places and locations across the country that have become associated with frequent appearance of ghosts and other telepathic incidents. As creepy as these supposed incidents are made to seem like, these incidents have sort of transcended from mere theories or made-up fiction to actual realities to such an extent that they have been made tourist centers. In fact, ghost, paranormal and clairvoyant enthusiasts find these places which have been termed haunted as choice locations for activities such as ghost hunting!

It is commonly said that in the mouth of a few witnesses then there exists at least an iota of truth; the haunting capabilities of these places have been propped up by the fact that there are a good number of people who testify on a regular of basis of encountering ghosts at one time or the other. These haunted places cut across different kind of buildings and locations; they include cinema halls, hotels, museums, cemeteries, historical sites, battlefields, mansions and even residential homes. Enough of the somewhat boring gist of the meaning of haunting and whatever it is that has to do haunting as a word; let us get down to the reason why you picked this book in the first place. It is time to reveal the top 10 haunted places in the USA. Enjoy!

Spooky Paranormal Haunts!

As a lover of Paranormal Investigations and ghostly Hauntings, I found this to be super entertaining to listen to.
With Halloween soon approaching, this would be apt to get you into the spooky mood.
I especially found The Bell witch Cave and the Stanley Hotel to be extremely intriguing.
This mostly gives a brief overview on the places which are haunted, more than the hauntings itself.
Kevin Theis did a wonderful audio delivery.
Recommends to fans of Paranormal Investigations and hauntings!

Brief Introduction to Some Popular Haunts

As a fan of all things haunting, I really enjoyed these brief looks into paranormal places. I felt like anyone who is big into paranormal TV shows or books will recognize almost every single location and probably know more about them then the information presented. I felt like this was more about the description of the location versus really getting into the specifics of the hauntings themselves. The locations are: Gettysburg Battlefield, The Bell Witch Cave, The Stanley Hotel, Waverly Hills Sanatorium. Eastern State Penitentiary, St Augustine Light House, Mount Misery Road, The Queen Mary, The Lincoln Theater, and Bachelor's Grove Cemetery. There were a few places I wasn't aware of, but the others have been widely published with extensive coverage. For those who are new to the subject this is a great short account of each place to get your feet wet, but there is a lot more to cover and plenty more to see.

Kevin Theis does a great job narrating documentary style books. His voice definitely adds to the telling of the book and removes the text book type feel that you can get with this style of book.

So short. So loud.

Besides the fact this book is over before it really even gets started, I felt like the narrator was shouting the whole time, and rushing to get the book done. It gave me a headache.

Awesome quick listen about some great haunted places

I love horror and the paranormal. So consequently I find the ghostly hauntings of various places to be a fascinating bit of information. Some of these I’ve already heard of and others were new to me. Really well narrated with lots of vigor in the voice that just hooks you in. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator or publisher

Save your money

This is basically a wiki of a few haunted locations that you can get anywhere online, even FB. It's just the narrator spewing facts, nothing more. Although I'm always interested in anything haunted, there is nothing original here and just 45 minutes of someone reading a wiki.
