Summary

Tom Slemen does it yet again...in his Haunted Liverpool 19, the extraordinary writer and researcher brings us another volume of strange, mystifying, and downright bizarre tales of the unknown and the supernatural. In this spine-chilling book you will hear of a zombie army, a creepy cannibalistic entity who lives behind the walls of a house off Liverpool's Oxford Street, a reaper-like apparition which stalked two security guards at a factory in Fazakerley, the phantom monks of Childwall who dragged a young woman from her bed...plus:

  • The Tuebrook carpenter who was forced to build a double coffin so a dead occultist could be buried with his living wife....
  • The terrifying ghoul of a spinster who terrorized a teenager who had sex on her grave....
  • The sad but fascinating story of a Liverpool student who moved in and out of a parallel world where he met - then lost - the love of his life....
  • More incredible accounts of Liverpool timeslips....
  • The weird accounts of the unidentified creatures at large in Liverpool today, which are termed "Anonyma"....
  • The creepy account of the psychopathic ghost who haunted a woman's car - and attempted to assault her....
  • The incredible story of Maggie May - the world famous prostitute who still haunts Liverpool....
  • Huyton's Ghostly Highwayman....
  • The chilling full story of the Witch of Walton....

All of this plus many, many more scary stories from the master storyteller Tom Slemen!

another excellent collection

Yet another great collections of creepy stories from the people who know the city best.

I liked all the stories in this collection as they were all creepy and unnerving on their own way and again all held a sense of truth about them.

I enjoyed the open way the stories are told with most names and places not being changed again lending the stories a sense of truth to them.

Nigel Peever is such a good narrator and you can hear how much fun he is having reading these stories which just makes the listening experience so much better.

I was given this audiobook for free and have left this review voluntarily.
