In this heart-wrenching short story, we follow the journey of a woman who spent years estranged from her father. The two have been at odds for years, but when a worldwide pandemic strikes and her father becomes ill with Covid-19, her outlook begins to change.
Desperate for a chance to reconcile, our narrator reached out to her father's hospital only to find out it was too late. Now, all she is left with is the choices made, the baggage she is forced to carry, and the love she has lost.
In this poignant and deeply moving tale, Witherspoon explores the universal themes of love, loss, and family. A powerful reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of forgiveness, this story is not to be missed. Anyone who has ever experienced the pain of regret or the healing power of closure will find solace and home in this touching and unforgettable work.
