About this listen

She thought he was arrogant. He thought her walls would never come down. Then they fell in love.

Forever walking the line between passion and conflict, Laurel and Gavin’s relationship ended in divorce after years of miscommunication and unmet expectations. Now pursuing their own separate lives and careers, the two are content . . . though not completely happy.

When their best friends, Mike and Mallory, are killed in a plane crash, Laurel and Gavin are stunned to learn they’ve been named guardians of their friends’ young daughter, Emma. Putting their differences aside, the estranged couple search for a suitable guardian as they care for Emma and manage Mike and Mallory’s apple orchard.

Soon tempers flare—as does the passion they both remember so well. And Laurel and Gavin find themselves working through their past—their mistakes, their miscommunications, and ultimately the tragedy that ended their marriage.

Will the seeds of love, still growing inside them, thrive and flourish? Or will grief and regret strangle the feelings before they can fully blossom?

Critic reviews

A tragic accident gives a divorced couple a second chance at love in the warmhearted third installment of Hunter's Riverbend Romance series (after Mulberry Hollow) . . . Readers looking for an uplifting Christian romance will appreciate how Laurel and Gavin's faith helps dispel their deep-rooted fears so they can find a way to love again. Inspirational fans will find this hard to resist.
Denise Hunter has a way of bringing depth and an aching beauty into her stories, and Harvest Moon is no different. Harvest Moon is a beautiful tale of second chances, self-sacrifice, and renewed romance which addresses hard topics such as child death and dissolved marriages. In a beautiful turn of events, Hunter brings unexpected healing out of a devastating situation, subtly reminding the reader that God can create beauty out of the most painful of circumstances and love from the most broken stories. --Pepper Basham, author of The Heart of the Mountains and Authentically, Izzy
This is a sweet, heartwarming romance . . . and a lovely, engrossing story . . . A worthy entry into the Riverbend series, it also reads well as a stand-alone.

Really enjoyed this third book of the series, Laurel and Gavin’s story was emotional and tragic to read in parts. They were both lovely people who were affected by issues in there lives which made them both make a lot of mistakes. It was lovely to see them grow together and unite in order to do what was best for Emma. I really loved Gavin specially out of the robinson’s the best as although he made a lot of mistakes his heart was always in the write place. Laurel was also a wonderful who really worked hard to learn to trust.

Lovely book and can’t wait for the next.
