The beloved stories as you’ve never experienced them. Get ready to be transported to the world of Harry Potter in a captivating production that features hundreds of unique voices and immersive sound design that brings the wizarding world vividly to life in Dolby Atmos. You’ll hear footsteps echoing through the corridors of Hogwarts and the heart-racing whoosh of the Golden Snitch as it darts past your ears in the heat of a Quidditch match. Also featuring an electrifying new musical score, The Full-Cast Audio Editions present J.K. Rowling’s iconic series as a truly spellbinding listening event for the whole family.

Turning the envelope over, his hand trembling, Harry saw a purple wax seal bearing a coat of arms; a lion, an eagle, a badger and a snake surrounding a large letter 'H.’

Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

Having become classics of our time, the Harry Potter stories never fail to bring comfort and escapism. With their message of hope, belonging and the enduring power of truth and love, the story of the Boy Who Lived continues to delight generations of new listeners.

Starring Frankie Treadaway as Harry Potter, Max Lester as Ron Weasley, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, Hugh Laurie as Albus Dumbledore, Riz Ahmed as Professor Snape, Michelle Gomez as Professor McGonagall, Matthew Macfadyen as Lord Voldemort, Cush Jumbo as Narrator, and a full cast.

Available in Dolby Atmos on Audible.

Editorial Review

Harry Potter like you’ve never heard it before
As a mother of elementary school children, nothing delights me more than seeing my kids begin to fall in love with the stories that empowered and inspired me when I was young. What’s even more special is that with this new full-cast audio edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, new audiences and established fans (like me!) will find it equally enchanting. The breathtaking sound design, immersive score, and outstanding performances by hundreds of actors had my kids on the edge of their seats, and I was squealing with delight right alongside them. Even if you know everything there is to know about Harry Potter, you’ve never heard it quite like this—and if you’re new to the stories, there has never been a better way to dive in. —Esther B., Audible Editor

I understand some people saying they don't like all the sound effects, find them distractinf, etc. but I think people misundertand what this is. if you want the books narrated as a story, nothing will ever beat Stephen Fry. But if you want a performance, as if you were watching a play or movie, then this is excellent. casting is superb, narrator is great, and the background and added effects grow on you over time and really add a layer of depth which makes you feel like you are fully immersed

This is a performance, not an audio story telling

Wow, I was so excited. Since I was a little boy I read all the books, then the movies came, then the Fry narrated audio books, then the illustrated editions.

Now with the full cast versions, Harry Potter returns to my life in a fifth iteration and brought me back to that little boy reading under the covers by torchlight.

I enjoyed every second of this, masterful and wonderful production. Every high and low, captured, perfectly.and uniquely in this gorgeous presentation. As the 5th iteration, it shows that all these years on, Harry Potter remains the cultural icon it has been as the best stop for adventure and imagination.

I absolutely loved it. 🥰🥰🥰

Magical Revisit to Childhood

I want to apologize for any mistakes, but English is not my first language.
Well done.
Great choice of the voice actors.
I love the sound effects. It makes it very immersive listening.
It feels like you're just there eavesdropping on the conversations.
My favorite will still be Stephen Fry's reading, but this is so very different that it's not supposed to be compared really.

For all those who are fuming about the Voldemort pronunciation (I was one of those people at first ;) ) - that is how it suppose to be pronounced originally (according to J.K. Rowling herself).

But we got used to Voldemort with hard T and this is a bit off to listen. ;)

I can't wait for the next parts.

Fantastic.

I’ve heard a lot of people complaining about the “overproduction”, but I feel that they are forgetting that this story is aimed at the primary audience being children, and as an adult, I think it’s a beautiful way to recapture ones childhood. The sounds effects, the voices, the score, it’s a listening experience I’m experiencing for the first time and I think it’s WONDERFUL.

Wonderful Performances
