I enjoyed this book and its narrator so much. Harpo took me on a journey of a life from extreme poverty to ostentatious riches, through creativity, fame and family life. All the way through he maintained his trickster nature, always laughing in the face of pomposity. His heart was big and generous and he clearly never lost it, despite all odds. He was the holy fool - a true inspiration. As the silent member of the Marx Brothers, we will never really know what he sounded like, but the narrator made me feel like he truly embodied Harpo’s spirit.

Heartwarming, funny - the life of the great trickster

Interesting account about how the Marx Brothers found fame and how Harpo Marx the character was created. Overall entertaining although not many revelations about Hollywood behind the scenes or anything we didn't already know about the other members of the act

Probably only for Marx Brothers fans
