Story
So, my Chihuahua fell in love with a bear. Excuse me, a giant, bear-like dog. Now, the bear’s scorching hot owner is on my case, demanding an STD test...for my pet. Another problem with this doggy love affair? The bear’s mysterious owner may be the key to funding my new venture and taking my toys company to the next level. And by “toys", I mean the fun kind, the kind every woman (and man) needs. If only I could figure out what he’s hiding - or get my libido to behave. Because mixing business and pleasure is a bad idea, and Dragomir Lamian may not be who he seems.

Story
It’s natural to want the one you can’t have. And for as long as I could remember, I’d secretly wanted my brother’s best friend, Jace. He was six years older and always treated me like the sister he never had. Fast forward a decade. We were all in our 20s now. Jace had moved in with my brother, Nathan, and me to help us make ends meet after our parents died. It was just the three of us - an odd family dynamic. Living under our roof, Jace was as bossy and protective as ever. But he certainly didn’t look at me like a sister anymore. That was what made things so complicated.

I didn't know I was that person. You know - the one who gets the kids. But that's what the will said. June Lawler: legal guardian. All my sister's kids have ever known is San Francisco, but I have to take them back to our family's small-town farm. The last thing I'm expecting is the dark car rolling down my dirt driveway. The man who steps out of it is as rich as he is rude, and I want nothing to do with him. Even if my traitor body didn't get the message.

Story
On the run from ruthless killers, I’m down to 10 bucks in my wallet and a half-tank of gas in my ancient car when I spot the ad for a live-in tutor. The job sounds like the answer to my prayers, but there’s a catch. The child’s father is the most beautiful, most dangerous man I’ve ever met. Darkly seductive and filthy rich, Nikolai Molotov is a tantalizing mystery, a lethally alluring contradiction. Bruised knuckles and tailored suits, tender endearments and dirty promises - my new employer draws me in like a magnet, even as my instincts scream for me to run.

A daredevil prince wants to pay me mega-bucks to train him to hold his breath underwater for 10 minutes? Sign me up. Except I’m a magician, not a stunt consultant. My record-beating dive without air was a trick. Of course, I can’t tell that to my client, the royally hot Anatolio Cezaroff, a.k.a. Tigger. Not if I want to be able to pay my rent. Also, I’m not exactly comfortable around germs. All germs, including those lurking on uber-attractive men. So falling for my gorgeous client is out of the question, and I fully intend to keep my distance.

Story
The first time I met Hudson Rothschild was at a wedding. I’d received an unexpected invitation to one of the swankiest venues in the city. Hudson was a groomsman and quite possibly the most gorgeous man I’d ever laid eyes on. He asked me to dance, and our chemistry was off the charts. I knew it wasn’t a good idea to get involved with him, considering the wedding I was at. But our connection was intense, and I was having a great time. Though the fun came to a screeching halt when Hudson figured out I wasn’t who I’d said I was.

I’d like to preface this by saying it was never my intention to ever get involved in a workplace romance, let alone get involved with the most surly, agitating, and pompous man I’ve ever met who just so happens to be my new friend’s brother. My intentions were to show students how English and reading books could actually be fun and make a new life for myself in the suburbs of Chicago.

Finding a good roommate through a classified ad isn’t as easy as it sounds. I was starting to lose hope. Until a knock at my door came, and God answered my prayers. Except...uh...wrong prayer, God. I’d definitely requested the big guy find me a drop-dead gorgeous man on more than one occasion...just not as my roommate. Declan Tate talked me into interviewing him anyway. While he was amusing and charismatic, I wouldn’t have been comfortable living with a man, so I regretfully declined. Then, cupcakes showed up at my door.

Dear Mr. Vega: I felt it necessary to follow up on today’s meeting, since we weren’t able to speak candidly in front of your son. I was shocked to discover that you are Ryder’s dad. I think it would be best if we just pretend that we met in person for the first time today. Your son is a very bright (flirtatious and talkative) student and since his education is a top priority for both of us, I hope I can count on you to respectfully refrain from grinning at me, using that sexy tone of voice, and undressing me with your annoyingly beautiful brown eyes....

Summary
"Uplifting and lighthearted with sassy dialogue and delicious wit, this modern-day comedy will have you rolling around on the floor laughing. My top-of-the-list romcom for 2020!” (Charmaine Pauls, USA Today best-selling author)
“A feel good, steamy romance so hilarious reading it counts as an ab work out. I laughed harder than I had in months, and thought I might die of second hand embarrassment several times.” (May Sage, USA Today best-selling romance)
My new assignment at work: Test out toys. Yup, that kind.
Well, technically, it’s to test the app that controls the toys remotely.
One problem? The showgirl who’s supposed to test the hardware (as in, the actual toys) joins a nunnery.
Another problem? This project is important to my Russian boss, the broody, mouthwateringly sexy Vlad, a.k.a. the Impaler.
There’s only one solution: Test both the software and the hardware myself...with his help.
Note: This is a raunchy slow-burn stand-alone romantic comedy featuring a quirky, nerdy heroine, her hot, mysterious Russian boss, and two guinea pigs that may or may not be into scissoring each other. If any of the above is not your cup of tea, run far, far away. Otherwise, buckle in for a snort-water-up-the-nose-funny, feel-good ride.
Extra note: The epilogue is narrated by Sebastian York.

Laugh out loud brilliant
I’m reasonably new to audiobooks and had been finding it difficult to to relate performed voices to those in my head. But Hard Code has had me by turn laughing out loud (or stifling laughter in company - thank goodness for ear pods!) and squirming in my seat. The reading is fantastic, with inflections and exclamations which don’t jar you out of the story. The story itself is comic but sexy - and not just in pockets but all the way through. You can just picture poor Fanny’s makeup struggles and the laid back office atmosphere at 1KD. I’m sat in a car park and this is my first audible review. Definitely worth it.

Great read overall. Full of funny scenes and the coding aspect adds some great interest to the story as a whole. Packed with awkward moments you can really feel and good laughs throughout. The characters have good general depth and there's a believable connection between the main leads. I enjoyed reading something where the female lead is not the usual damsel in distress in need of constant rescue. Would recommend for a light hearted read and will be reading more by this author.

Hard Code: A Laugh-Out-Loud Workplace Romantic Comedy - Misha Bell and Anna Zaires
This book is everything it is summarized to be and more. The humor is real and the smile on my face lasted the entire time I read it, twice.
I loved the dual narration so we could get a sense of what was going on in the characters minds and the many misunderstanding couples go through.
Fanny is a typical nerd software genius who is in coding but wants to get into game development.
Vlad came over from Russia when he was young but still has a bit of an accent, he takes the Dracula jokes in stride. Vlad has a close family who appear in the book and also future books, his brother Alex and sister.
Vlad has “volunteered “ Fanny to test and review the sex toys he is developing with his sister’s company. Since these are remote controlled she needs a man to be the tester for the opposite sex. Somehow Vlad ends of being the other test subject, of course, and the fun and very 🔥, as well as inventive and original.
Best thing I learned is that guinea pigs hop when happy and to read all instructions before testing sex toys.
This book was so addicting I then listened to the audible version. It was even more delightful, especially hearing narrator Sebastian York use his “Russian accent”. No one does hot Romcoms like Sebastian.
Laughing alone and blushing in my car might have got me some suspicious looks from other drivers, lol.

Hilarious! One of my favorite Rom-Com!
I read it before, and I loved it! The audiobook version brilliantly brings this story to life. OMG! This story is hilarious!! I loved Fanny and Vlad's romance. Fanny is sassy, and funny. Vlad is a handsome and sexy Russian Boss. This Romantic Comedy has it all: great characters, strong and sizzling chemistry, fun storyline, and the perfect happy ending! There is a lot going on in this story! Ava Erickson did a fantastic job with the narration. Only the Epilogue is narrated by Sebastian York. This is definitely one of my favorite Romantic Comedies, and I will listen to this audiobook again. I HIGHLY recommend it! Looking forward to listen to Hard Ware, the next book in the Series.

I loved this book from beginning to end! The storyline, the narrators (although you don't get Sebastian until the epilogue), and the funny little side stories (think Guinea pigs!). I also love that there's no long period of angst keeping the MCs away from each other! Such a great, light-hearted and fun book! Worth your time and money (credit)!

Such a funny and entertainingly hot 🔥 romance audiobook. The storyline is unique and fantastic to listen to! A story about a product tester starts off with a hilariously malfunction gone wrong and her boss listening on the whole situation. She soon realizes her hot boss is the only person who could reasonably and safely work with on testing the male products, he wholeheartedly agrees. The antics continue into a wonderfully sexy story. The narration is Fantastic!!!!

Great rom-com!
I’ve read Anna Zaire’s books before, but this was my first experience with work by Misha Bell and Dina Zales. It certainly won’t be my last. This book is legitimately funny. It is exactly what I want from a rom-com. Great characters with some quirks; a funny BFF secondary character; a fun, but slightly cringe-worthy storyline; the requisite drama (but thankfully, not too much) and the HEA.
I laughed out loud quite a few times while listening, once to the point I had to rewind because I missed the next lines. It is just all around fun. I’ll be getting the next book in the series too.
Ava Erickson is sooo good. She really made Fannie’s emotions just shine through. You feel like she’s your friend and you’re watching her crazy life. My only criticism is that the only time Sebastian York speaks is in the epilogue. It’s understandable, as accents just aren’t his thing. But if you expect to be listening to SebYo, you’ll be disappointed. Thank goodness, Ava is fantastic.

Great Book
This was a fun, good listen. The characters development was great. However as much as I love Sebastion York’s voice, not for this character. I do wish they had more female-male ratio on the narrative. Other than that it was a great listen and read.

A perfect rom-com
This book was just what I needed, it had me laughing out loud from start to finish. The situations that Fanny finds herself in are priceless and you can’t beat all of the vampire jokes.

Nerdy deliciousness
Nerd love is the best and this book delivers. Who knew QA testing could be sexy? I laughed out so many times. I’m not as fair as Fanny is but I probably would be as red as she was with all that befalls her.
Im also glad that there is very little angst or misunderstandings. I usually skip those parts because I just can’t relate to it. A fun and quick listen on Audible. The narrators do a great job :)
