This book helped me understand brain chemicals, which has truly helped me to improve my life. I purchased the book after hearing Stephen Patterson on a podcast. I really liked the way she broke it all down on the podcast, and I was pleased to see that she writes the same way. I've listen to several psychology and self-help books over the years but didn't get much out of them. I'm a very logical person - I have two Philosophy degrees. This one explains the science of how the brain works and gives very simple guidelines to re-train your brain. This has helped me to improve my life in some very important ways. 👍👍

I loved the way the information is presented. It takes the allure of mysticism out for a walk and comes back with a clear, rational manner of interpreting our daily roller coaster ride from fear to joy, from failure to success in terms that any bi-ped mammal with the capacity to think can understand. Even my hormones were impressed!
