Really excellent Book!

Discipline is not about what you think you should do or what other people are doing or what other people are telling you to do, it’s about really connecting to what feels good to you and what you want for yourself, and then living in the space that is consciously working towards that. Really a great book. Thanks, Writer!

An Interesting and Good Listen

This is just what I was looking for. Kind of technical but easy to read and understand. This is not someone's personal story, this is about how mammals brains work. I recommend it, it's a good listen.

Exactly what I was looking for

It contains good insights as to how the mind really works and rewards us for certain behaviors. And how we can go about naturally triggering these reward centers without needing to resort to drugs and so forth. Fascinating and insightful.

Interesting Perspective, Practical Advice

Although I'm not a fan of using the evolutionist framework to describe certain behaviors, I gained a lot of insights on a lot of my impulses that I didn't feel too wholesome about.

A lot of good practical advice and I appreciate the concept of 'building new pathways/circuits' in the human brain when developing new mental habits.

Great book

Loved it! This is simple to understand the journey into the brain. It clearly describes how your brain is biased towards survival and not designed for happiness. The constant scan for threats programmed into your brain by its neurochemicals can be changed. This will decrease stress and add health and happiness.
