the story was not what i liked at first, but as you continue you find yourself quite fond of the characters and atmosphere in this book. This is massively helped by the amazing narration between the characters. A different take on the halo franchise and a successful one at that.

Fantastic listen as long as you go into it knowing it’s a young adults story aimed for teens. Although it hasn’t got all the blood and guts as something like contact harvest or the fall of reach. It does plenty to introduce the covenant and other basic halo lore in one neat package!

I liked the direction the story went it worked out really well for me even making me sad by the end. the narrator did a great job on both battle born and the next book

just normal kid with normal lives just trying to survive thrust in to a fight they don't want to be apart of
