This was a very interesting listen, if you are looking at your first ultra. I found the no messing, step by step approach really helpful, especially when you consider the experience of the author. I loved the way Hal made reference to other race distance training, this helped me to mentally prepare for the challenges and solitude of an ultra, when compared with more populated or track based races.

Very Informative

Really enjoyed this was a good pace not to full on for me as I'm about to take part in my first Ultra! it's set a few things straight in my head and confirmed a few things I was on the fence about. Got some great things to try on my practice runs now.
