Summary
'I was never going to sleep in and take it easy. There were worms to catch.'
In August 2015 Guy Martin crashed out of the lead of an Ulster Grand Prix superbike race held on the world's fastest racetrack. He had invasive surgery to bolt his broken spine and hand back together, and within days he decided he needed some time away from road racing. But he wasn't about to take it easy.
In his brand-new book, discover how Britain's favourite daredevil filled his time when road racing was taken out of the equation. He set about breaking records on the world's biggest Wall of Death, cycling 2,745 miles across the length of the United States (while sleeping rough), attempting to be the fastest person ever on two wheels and travelling to Latvia to investigate his family's roots.
There's some thrilling racing, too, including wild Harley choppers on dirt and turbo-charged Transit vans through the Nevada desert. And there's the day job to get back to in North Lincolnshire - the truck yard and the butty van.

please read your own book guy!
I think Guy Martin is the breath of fresh air that tv needed. normal. speaks the truth and not afraid to say how it is. disappointed that he didn't read this book. his common sense approach is amplified by his accent but is lost in translation. not knocking the bloke reading it, but it just lost some of its enthusiasm.
it's ok, if you don't want to think too much but builds up only to go limp, when you're expecting something to happen.
if he ever did technical manuals, I'm first in the queue!
can't really recommend it, wasn't loving it by the end. a bit "meh" to use guys words.
sorry mate.

Not as good as the previous ones
It felt like he'd agreed to do a book, but didn't have that much really interesting or original material to put in it.
I really enjoyed the previ ones, so was disappointed.

A proper book
Honest, funny, personal. Doing things his way. This bloke is not a messer, writing in the same style he seems to approach the rest of his life. Recommend it to those who like to get after life for the journey between their own events. It's proper? Loved it. Thanks to Guy.

Wish Guy was reading his own words
A very large part of Guy's appeal is his delivery. This is lacking in this book.

Great as Usual
Another great book from Guy! It's really refreshing in this day and age that a normal bloke can have a career like Guy's. Instead of the usual reality TV muppets we see everywhere! Who can barely string a sentence together never mind actually write there own book. The book is another year in the life of Guy and it's a year well worth knowing about!

Another cracker by Guy
I like how Guy thinks! He's not affraid to tell it how it is and admit when he's wrong! Driven! look forward to reading/hearing more. Nice to hear what goes on behind and leading up to TV shows. Makes it more real somehow.

Tough Tour Divide Ride
Really enjoyed listening to this book, particularly the sections that cover The Tour Divide. The narrator’s voice is good too.
