Summary

Are you worried about your child’s ability to cope with the stress and pressures of today’s fast-paced and frenzied world?

As a parent, guardian, or caregiver, you obviously want your child to grow up into a confident, creative, focused, and stress-free soul. You want them to be well-behaved, well-adjusted, and confident children who can manage their emotions and deal with stress.

Just like a seed needs water, fertilizers, warm sunlight, and care to grow, your child needs plenty of care and nurturing to transform into a healthy, happy, successful, and well-adjusted individual. There really is no shortcut for this.

We want kids to be healthy and happy, not just now but for the rest of their lives. Teaching them about meditation early would help them do just that!

Here are some of the takeaways from this highly invaluable guided meditation resource for children:

  • How to increase the power of their imagination and creativity through powerful fantasy-like guided imagery.
  • A step-by-step imagery script that can help you take your child in unknown yet much-desired lands.
  • Guided imagery for reducing stress and anxiety and making your child feel more relaxed, calm, and balanced.
  • Settings that vary from enchanting gardens to magical castles to beaches (everywhere that children love to be).
  • How to start and end guided meditation sessions to help the child benefit optimally from it.
  • Keeping your child engaged and hooked throughout the meditation session by using adding kind words and generous imagery.
  • How to shape your child’s imaginations to create positive thoughts and mental images.
  • And much more...

Excellent Guided Meditation

My daughter uses this meditation every night to unwind and nod off. The narrator has a gorgeous, soothing Scottish voice.

My children love this

Great to calm busy little minds! My children listen to this before going to bed and it's a great alternative to a bedtime story when they're overly active.

Valuable

The concept of acting with intention, rather than impulse has more value than any song I will ever teach. My students learn better when they're ready to learn, not when they come into my classroom feeling like they're at recess. Quieting the mind enables all of us to be present. When my kids are present, I don't have to constantly stop, redirect, reprimand, quiet them, etc. I combine this with other mindful activities and games.

Good for adults too!

I've played portions of the CD in my meditation class for adults and we all love it. The narrator in the CD has perfect tone. Not too cutesy, not too monotone. That's hard to do. This is not the first time I've had a good response with teaching adults in a style intended for kids. It turns out we're all kids!

Fantastic meditation for kids

Love this cd. Great way to teach children ways to manage their difficult emotions. I recommend listening to the same track several times before moving on to the next track, this way they get well versed in one technique/imagery and develop some mastery before jumping prematurely to another.

Soo benefit

Mindfulness or awareness of the present is something I never learned as a child, but how incredibly useful to understand that you can change the way emotional responses control us just through awareness. While it is very individual, techniques of mindfulness can be so helpful and even have long term benefits on health.

Great purchase

I have two daughters, 6 and 8 year olds. I do it with them before bedtime, and they both enjoy it. My oldest has ADHD and it teaches her to calm herself. It also helps them relax before bedtime. Definitely a great purchase.

Well and good

The chapters are not labeled though (to my knowledge) which will make it hard to quickly turn to certain exercises, but perhaps I will find a way to overcome this. It could also make a great app - I would buy that as well!

All is good

The next chapter explores how mindfulness can be practiced using the body as a means to anchor one’s awareness while simultaneously being more aware of what’s going on with one physically. There is discussion of mindful walking, but most of the chapter is about teaching children to be more cognizant of what they feel as a precursor to being more emotionally aware.

Enchanted meditation for kids

Love this it's great. Relax me. My son struggled at first, no because of content but because of his defiance. I put it on as background music before sleep and now he welcomes it. Calms us both.

GREAT FOR KIDS

I got this for my daughter and son as they were having restless nights. What a great buy. My daughter is 7 and thoroughly enjoys it. She is a big reader and therefore finds it hard to switch off before falling asleep. this does the trick. i listened to it first and it has a calming effect even for adults! well worth the money.

Sleep inducing loveliness

Relaxes and soothes my three girls working best with my 7 and 5 yr old. the 4 yr old finds it a bit difficult but has hearing difficulties. I find the 2 tracks, an inducement and visualisation is a lovely bedtime routine and it has been able to send my very active 5 year old to sleep and she struggles to wind down at the end of the day so that is simply fantastic.

This book has really helped us c

This book has really helped us connect with our 6 year old daughter and give her tools to manage her thoughts and emotions. It has been especially helpful during a recent period of anxiety relayed to a traumatic event in our lives. Thank you!

A Real Life Saver

I got this from the library and fell in love with it. My grandson was having trouble sleeping. He is eleven years old. We both listened to it every night and found it was soothing and relaxing so I purchased . It is a real asset to his well being. I recommend it to any parent wanting to calm their child before bedtime.

Really enjoy

Really enjoy the exercises in this. We do them with the kids at story time at night. I find it sets the night up for a good night's sleep. Also we've found these exercises to be useful for both kids and adults throughout the day as conflicts, issues, life occurs....
