Oh sweet sweet accents, I love you.
Michael Dickens and Simona Rose deliver a stellar performance. I enjoy what they were able to convey in this story.
Guarded is the story of Declan and Rowan and WOW. Declan has layers. It’s interesting to toss his addiction into the story. I love that he’s overcome a lot in the two years that he’s worked on becoming sober. I also love Rowan’s role in it. The way that she feels for him without the pull that he has (since she’s his anum cara) is really heart warming. The idea that the other side of the soul mate pairing feels a pull despite not having the magical knowledge is my favorite part of the idea of magic bonds.
If you’re looking for something that’s heavy on sexy times, this isn’t for you. This story is more about falling in love and feeling that emotional forever with someone than sexy times. The action adventure and battles of the story are what’s gonna pull you in with this story.

Sexy times- mild enough for a 17 year old
Awesome transformations (both internal and metaphysical)- numerous. I’m not gonna count but it’s a lot.
Wondering what Aidens gonna do- a lot. Like when’s this coming out? Is it out now? I’m just gonna go stalk the author.

Excellent Second Book

I got this story via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. This is a great addition to the series. The narrator was very good. I could strangle the father. Boy, when we get set in our prejudice ways even being saved from death does not change us. That is so typical of the hardnosed prejudice people. Glad the heroine had sense enough to forget them and let them live in their mud and have her life. Also glad that he got over his addiction. Those brothers are tighter now than ever before. Waiting on the next story.

Declan's turn

This book was as good as the first one. I loved all of the action and the romance was steamy. I can't wait to hear the next audiobook so all the brothers can have a hea. Excellent book and they tie in so effortlessly

I liked it

I love a good PRN read! This story was full of I want you but can’t have you angsts! I have to say I didn’t read the first book in the series but I wish I had. I will be going back and listening to it.
The main characters are well suited for each other but I have to say I can’t stand her dad! He’s an butthole! The brothers were caring and sweet. I recommend this book

Outstanding narration and story!

I listened to the first book in the series and was hooked! The male narrator does an awesome job with the accents of the McConnell men. The female narrator also does a great job of bringing out the personality of the women through her voice.

I wish there were more than three brothers so we could have more stories. There are many different characters so maybe we can have more stories by this author.

Really Really good

This was so good. The storyline kept my attention till the end and that's not easy to do lately. I really fell in love with Declans character. I'm a total sucker for an overprotective sweetheart. Michael Dickens made him sound so stinking HOT with that sexy accent. I'm glad that Simona Rose chose to leave the accent to him. I'd much rather her do a great job within her comfort zone, like she did rather than butchering it. I definitely say it's worth a credit. I recieved this book for free at my request and I'm so glad I did.

Love the world Fae and Changer

Received this audio book free for an honest review. I really enjoyed this paranormal audio book. Declan's demons and Rowan's patience bring sparks to this story. It was so exciting that the listener couldn't stop listening. The suspense and thrill made the story exciting and the romance between two unlikely beings was magical. The narrators did an excellent job with the characters and this exciting story.

Second Book ..Don’t Miss The First..Great Series

Please read/listen to the first book for the fullness of the story...you won’t be sorry
A world is built in Northern Minnesota of a community of fae and other supernaturals being hunted. Declan is second brother who has lived through the murder of his parents, dealing with it with chemicals...his fated mate turns out to be his nurse who is a fae whose ancestors ruled over Declan.
A sweet and emotional pairing...narrators with great voices and perfect story telling ability.

A fantastic followup to book one.............

Guarded is the second book in this new paranormal romance series by A.S. Green, and it starts immediately after the events of book one. In my opinion, these books are best read as part of the series, since so much of the world building and history of the characters takes place in book one. As a matter of fact, the two main characters in Guarded actually became close in book one, so Guarded begins with them already having a history. Declan is the second brother in the MacConall clan of hell hound shifters, and he knows that the nurse helping him overcome his previous drug addiction, Rowan McNeely, is his fated mate. Unfortunately, the are from completely different Fae cultures, his the lower class and hers the elite upper class, so they both feel they are destined to never be together. Unlike the first book in the series, this book features more on the relationships between the various Fae sects as well as the development of relationships between Declan and his brothers and Declan and Rowan. The fight with the human group whose sole goal is to eliminate all Fae creatures known as the Black Castle doesn't come into the story until closer to the end. This book also had more angst between the two characters and less action scenes, but I found it every bit as enthralling as the first book. I can hardly wait for the third book in the series to be available on Audible, so we can finally hear Aidan's love story.

The narrators remained the same from the first book, and this is a beautiful thing. Not only does the continuity help maintain the story thread, these two narrators are incredibly talented. Every time I hear that yummy Irish accent from Michael Dickens, my heart gives a little squeeze. His voice is sex personified. Simona Rose is equally talented with her light, feminine delivery. They are powerful narrators separately, but together they are an experience not to be missed.
