Summary

This is a hilariously funny Christmas audiobook. When Crazy Grandma applies on behalf of Grumpy Grandad for the position of Santa in the grotto, it leads to a crazy Christmas he would never forget. After a smooth start, it all gets out of hand in the grotto when a boy called Andrew decides to cause chaos.

If you’re looking for a great Christmas audio story that will entertain your child, then look no further. Grumpy Grandad’s Christmas Chaos provides the perfect listening pleasure for your little one.

Children love Christmas, and the buildup is a big part of the excitement leading up to Christmas Day. This period can be a little overwhelming for children, however, and audiobooks can be the perfect distraction while providing valuable time away from the screens.

Grumpy Grandad is the character featuring in a series of audiobooks authored and narrated by Ann Twigg. Ann is a mother to three, grandmother to eight, and great-grandma to three. Her passion for writing children’s stories was ignited by her desire to create something special for her grandchildren and for the children in her class at school.

This audiobook provides an excellent opportunity to engage the imagination over the festive season.

Oh no, Father Christmas is poorly, who will help?

Father Christmas isn't very well and unless the store manager can find someone to replace him, they will have to shut the grotto in the shopping centre and disappoint all the girls and boys! Luckily Crazy Grandma has a brilliant idea, maybe Grumpy Grandad can do it until Father Christmas feels better?

Festive Grumpy Grandad

Another funny story about Grumpy Grandad. We listened to this in the late spring so will listen again at Christmas time. A lovely festive feeling story and funny in parts too. My little girl really enjoys listening about Grumpy Grandad and what he gets up to. This one gets another thumbs up but feel we would keep this one for listening to at Christmas time.

Christmas chaos for children

The plot’s in the title but this Christmas story gently shows that Christmas can be expensive and busy with some complications. Especially when Father Christmas is too poorly to attend a grotto session. Luckily Crazy Grandma empathises and volunteers Grumpy Grandad to the rescue. All is going well until a mischievous customer decides to prank Grumpy Grandad to the extreme. My children found his pranks hilarious but I would probably have been as Grumpy as Grandad in that uncontrollable situation. Poor Grumpy Grandad!
With it being a children’s narrative all ends as it should so we felt relieved.

This story could be shared with any child but particularly any who notice that Father Christmas’s beard may not look quite genuine at times.
