After a long time finally a Kinky Friedman release! As good as expected on all fronts. Looking forward to the rest of the books being released as well.

Hope there will be more

So glad Kinky has finally made it to audible and this version is nearly as good reading the book. Great turn of phrase, hilarious characters based (loosely) on real folk and pure pleasure, in my opinion, but then I am a fan! Really great and looking forward to more

Oh, the joy of Kinky's stories!

I read the KF books many years ago and have always had fond memories of them. This book was brought to life by great narration and the characters as I remembered them shone through.

Thank you Audible!

At last an audio recording of one of Kinkys stories. As the narrator of his own adventures Kinky has always written as though he’s telling you the tale personally over a jamesons in a dark back street bar. As with chandler and Hemingway the story is not as important as the writing style and, although I was disappointed that Kinky had not narrated this himself, the narrator does do a good job catching the wit, humanity and melancholy of Kinkys character. If you’re thinking of buying this I’d refer you to the Kinkys slogan when he ran for governor of Texas -“why the hell not?”

A hit from the Texas jewboy

My way. Poetry of the side streets. Espresso, cigar smoke and Jameson. Lots of Jameson. Witty, funny, well-read and written. Finally here.
