A comprehensive overview of gratitude
Gratitude is primarily a motivational book looking at the benefits of practicing daily gratitude and the ways in which to do this. It does not cover one method in depth but rather, gives a broad perspective of the kind of habits we can all easily develop in order to become more grateful. If practicing gratitude is something you haven't really considered, this is a good place to start, because Ace McCloud begins by explaining why developing a grateful attitude will benefit you, then lays out many of the different methods that have been touted by a variety of people from celebrities to life coach gurus. You're sure to find an idea that works for you, and then the audio motivates you to run with it and make it a permanent part of your daily life.
The narration is classic Joshua Mackey, full of energy and enthusiasm - this adds a certain something to a work that is essentially motivational.
I already practice relational gratitude in my life - actively taking opportunities to express gratitude to other people for their help and kindness and consider myself to be a generally grateful person. However, I still found some of the ideas in the audio quite fresh, and was particularly touched by the idea of complimenting yourself, and also countering negativity by actively speaking out the things you have to be grateful for, not only in relation to self, but also as pertains to friends, family , work etc.

The Amazing Power of Gratitude
This book on the power of gratitude was really impressive. Learning about the effect it can have on your life both physically and mentally is incredibly eye-opening.
The techniques are so simple to introduce in your life and the benefits of being more grateful and the impact it can have on yours and others lives really make this essential listening.
In particular, I really enjoyed the focus on learning to be more grateful and how to implement it into your daily life and interactions with others. The chapter on how it can help with depression is very interesting, while extra tips for happiness are a great added bonus.
I cannot recommend this book highly enough for anyone seeking more serenity and contentment in their life. Excellent!

Interesting book about how to be thankful.
The book covers how important it is to be grateful and thankful for what we have and experience, especially when it comes to small things that we don't really notice. It shows some easy ways how to implement gratitude in a daily life and presents some strong scientific backgroud of presented techniques. It shows that in the age of constant rush and competition it's difficult to feel grateful which leads to a neverending cycle of being overworked. It proposes a daily gratitude practice and makes a promise of getting a happier, healthier and more motivated self - in general, useful book if you feel a little bit tired and tried everything with no good effects.

I want to show my gratitude for this book...
I really enjoyed listening to this audio book. Ordinarily I hate it when books are overly repetitive, but in this book I found the repetitive nature to be a key motivating element of the book. After listening to this book I truly felt a sense of gratitude for what I have in life and have been reflecting on it daily. I have found it to have an incredibly positive effect on my mood and interactions with others during the day.
Unbeknownst to me, my Mum could hear the audio book whilst I was playing it and has been talking about it ever since. Our family has been through a very tough time recently and she found it extremely enlightening to take the time to focus on the number of things we have to be thankful for and has helped her too to be more positive.
A very though provoking and motivational audio book!

Expressing My Gratitude is a Lot Easier For Me Now
Any additional comments?
Do you ever experience that moment when you feel so grateful for someone and you really want to thank that person, your parents for example, but you just can’t find the right words to say because you know, it’s awkward? I experience that as well! I feel that way almost all the time and it is really awful because we should really express our gratitude and how thankful we are for all the things they have provided and sacrificed for us. I realised that after I finished reading this book. It has served as an eye-opener for me.
This book has taught me so much that I have become a happier person than I was before. I now appreciate even the smallest of things in life. Speaking of gratitude, I want to thank the author for making this wonderful book!
If you are someone who is having a hard time expressing yourself and finds it difficult to say a simple “thank you”, I recommend this book to you!

Good message but too American in style
Worth listening to for the overall message but I found the delivery poor - probably due to it being very American in style. Culture clash....

A great read about the healing power of gratitude!
In today’s society the importance of everyday gratitude has lost its value. At the same time, not many of us can admit to be truly happy. But why are we not? According to author, McCloud, many of us probably own everything what needed to have a good life. All we lack is a little more of appreciation. As we read in “Gratitude”, everything can change when our outlook on life is different.
I’ve found this audiobook to be an interesting collection of advices on how to live in a present moment and how to get the most out of your life. This very universal message considers people of different backgrounds and occupations. That’s because nowadays, sadly, majority of societies have been overpowered by constant drive to have, do, be more...The “Gratitude” gives us some solutions for how to put feeling of lack away for good and just be happier with what we have. In the end, as the author says, “you get what you focus on”.
What makes the “Gratitude” guide more valuable is that its author has an experience as a therapist. Therefore, he can give examples of actual real people who by implementing a number of techniques managed to improve the quality of their lives (e.g. got out of the depression or became more popular in their environments just by learning how to say “thank you”). According to many reported by McCloud studies, simple daily gratitude practice can make you better and happier person. Without spending any penny to make it happen.
“Gratitude” is certainly worth the time you spend on it, as it will teach you about loving life, yourself and others. Life hasn’t turn out the way you’ve planed it? Too bad. But does it really matter, as long as you are happy?

Any additional comments?
truth be told, when you get something you had always wished for, something else bigger and takes its place. Humans find it very difficult to be contended with what they have. I bought this book because i felt i fit this human behavior perfectly. this book helped me grateful of what i already have and i must say it has made me happier and more confident with myself
