My first audio book!

A great listen... So informative and inspiring. Even after ten years of marriage it has revealed more about the mystery and beauty of marriage than I was aware of and it has helped my marriage already! I devoured it in a couple of days!

Great listen

Very interested and thought provoking book which is well written and narrated. A great way to understand sex within the marriage and how God wants us to see and understand each other.

Enlightening

Totally in line with the Christian sexual ethic. Nice, entertaining, enlightening. Deepish, yet practical cause of its question and answer format.

Most complete answer on human sexuality based on biblical and religious beliefs

This is a must read for all Catholics and all those interested in becoming Catholic through RCIA in my opinion. This book caused a complete paradigm shift in my heart and mind on the matter of marriage and God’s plan for it that I’m so glad I got this audiobook while engaged. God bless!

Nice book but more of an aplogetic episode

While the caption and name of this book caught my attention, it is more geared for a reader that is in need of an apologetic minister, not for those of us who are devout and already passionate about our faith.

Totally unexpected

I was looking for a book on the Theology of the Body. This book is dotted with quotes from John Paul II here and there, but is much more of Christopher West's interpretation based loosely on JP's writings. Hugely fascinating and not for the conservative and prime retiring librarian types. It can be graphic in places. Having said that it was informative, but i was left wondering if West's views were supported by Catholic teaching. I believe it is, but he never made the link clear and therefore left the doubt in my mind. The narrator was excellent.

A must read for married, single, or celibate!

I learned more about my vocation as a man while listening to this, than I have for the last 26 years of being a Catholic man. I was even in Seminary for 3 years. I will definitely be listening to this again and possibly getting this book in print! It can be dry at times due to the question and answer type of reading, but if you don't know a whole lot about the Catholic understanding of sex or marriage this is a must read!

If you can get over the narration...

It's a great and accessible way to get at the meat of JP II's Theology of the Body in a Q & A format. An easy listen and helpful to lay people who are part of marriage prep and youth ministry in their parishes and community. My only complaint is that Christopher West is such a dynamic speaker and it was a bit of a let down as this narrator was...vanilla.
