Summary

Robin's New Year's resolution to change her eating habits is as unusual as she is. Unlike millions of other women, she isn't tempted by chocolate or junk food. She's a vampire, determined to fight her craving for a pint of O negative.

When she goes to an AA meeting, hoping for advice on fighting her addiction, she meets Alana, a woman who battles her own demons.

Despite their determination not to get involved, the attraction is undeniable.

Is it just bloodlust that makes Robin think Alana looks good enough to eat, or is it something more? Will it even matter once Alana finds out who Robin really is?

Vampire goes to AA

This book kept me intrigued and wanted to find out what was going to happen next in the story.

I also liked the fact at the end of the book, that they had added book 2 Coitus Interruptus Dentalis which is 31 pages long to the end of the book to listen too.

The narration was great as always by Lori Prince. The book was well written.

Funny, inventive and ‘enthralling’

Really loved this story, it was laugh out loud funny, light angst and great characters. The narrator was first class. And of course it had a happy ending.

Love changes your diet for life, soul food reqired

Robin and Alana have something to hide. Neither are who they are pretending to be. The journey to who they would become will take seeing more than just what can be seen. Oh the vampire and the delicious genie had to reveal themself in order to be loved. Lori Prince makes this story even more fantastic by the marvelous way she brings the characters to life. This has been a deliriously funny and wonderfully salacious love story. I love the characters and all the out of normal way this story unfolds. It was funny, wildly entertaining and oh such fun.

Keep listening after the story ends!

I normally stop listening when the narrator says “The End” but I was driving and couldn’t stop it. Surprise! They included the short story “Coitus Interruptus Dentalis” or what happens when a Vampire has to go to a dentist?

Cute love story!

I enjoyed it and think it is a great book for people that suffer with addiction within their own lives and how they get through it, while also enjoying a fantastical world. Jae is becoming one of my favorite authors! So many good stories to enjoy and wonderful narrators as well!

Save your I's..

The maturation wasn't nearly as good as it should have been. The story is plane and is written as if a Sixth grader wrote it. If you are looking for bore-dom, this book is for you.

So Sweet

At first I wasn’t sure if I’d like a story about a vampire not wanting to drink blood from people anymore, but this was such a sweet little adventure that I just couldn’t stop. It ruined my sleep schedule, and I’m not even mad.

Romance and allegory

A cute and romantic story, with some more serious themes like addiction and the pressure of familial expectations.
The struggle that the vampire character goes through with her family is a clear allegory for the struggle that many gay people endure when coming out to family or church, especially conservative and insular church groups that enforce cutting ties with ex-members, only with 100% more vampires.

Amazing

I was a little nervous since I'm not usually a vampire fan, but this far exceeded my expectations! No regrets.
