Imagine a world where everyone is disappearing and soon you may be the only one left.

A truck crashes on the M40 causing one of the worst motorway pileups for years but the driver is nowhere to be found. Over the next few days more unexplained disappearances occur, leaving investigators puzzled, and the government in a panic.

Amid claims of alien abductions and prophecies of a biblical nature, Josh believes there may be another explanation involving time travel. But his theories will have to wait because as the population vanishes at a frightening rate, and society begins to break down, those who remain are plunged into a desperate battle for survival.

Unravel the mystery by joining the time bubble team in their latest adventure, which once again expands the time travel genre in a fresh and innovative way.

I suppose this is what could happen when the power goes off. Different spin like others in the series do but I didn’t really enjoy it this one.
But listen to the end
You got to listen if you’ve read the others
Narrator was excellent

Unsure where this was going as didn’t align to rest of books, till the end, then it aligns. Really good as normal, good narrations, good story

I always enjoy this book series (except one, but that’s another story) so gratefully received a free Audible copy from the author Jason Ayers.

Really interesting concept in this book, it’s set a little earlier than many in the series with the main protagonists only a few years older than the first book. The story draws you in and makes you listen to ‘just one more chapter’, always a sign I’m enjoying a book. I won’t go down the spoiler route except to say the (increasingly confusing) multiverse is a part of this story but it’s well handled. The ending feels a little rushed after a steady build up but it’s a bit of a feature with this series, each one sort of ending with a bang.

As for the narration, Samuel James does a really good job and is easily up there with the best in the series, hopefully he’ll do more in the future.

Last point, this book is refreshingly clear of some of the rather cringy overtly sexual references that some of the past books have had which I found to be welcome. Some things are better for just being implied rather than described in detail.

Overall, very enjoyable, interesting concept well executed. Already looking forward to the next one.
