Summary

Dr. Bob Rotella, whose clients include Nick Price, Davis Love III, Tom Kite, and Pat Bradley, is firmly established as the premier performance enhancement specialist in the golf world. In Golf Is a Game of Confidence, "Doc" Rotella focuses on the most important skill a golfer can have: the ability to think confidently. Confidence, or "playing with your eyes," can be the difference between making par and a bogey, one-putting and three-putting, winning and losing. To help listeners revolutionize their own course management and mental game, Rotella relates stories of the game's legendary figures, and allows the listener not only to get inside the ropes but also to get inside the heads of the game's greatest players in their most important moments.

A little disappointed

The 1st audio book was more informative and useful. This lacked some of the key insight into the approach.

Mostly talking you through rounds of golf

Not much learnt from this book, only mildly entertaining - it reminded me of a golfer talking in the clubhouse about his round but in more detail. A little boring - lucky it was audio, I wouldn’t have got to the end of the book if I was reading it.

Not interesting and lacking the main directive

Thought this was simply an anecdotal story on a few golfers. Not at all what I was thinking it would be.

Story time with Rotella

I Wouldn't recommend, needed more on how to apply these stories to your own game.

False advertising

I own the book, this audio book is only a small portion of the content in the book!
...really?

Not his best.

Golf is Not a Game of Perfect is much much better. Same author, but much better at teaching the mental game.

Just OK

It was more story telling about his clients and not as helpful to amateurs trying to get a little better.

Unsatisfied

Hi Audible,

Only 2 if the 18 Chapters are recorded. I’m not sure why, but I used an entire credit to listen to this book, so I expected to receive an entire book.

Thanks.

Golf is a Game of Confidence

I can't believe the author was a doctor...he just told several stories but did not delve into any of the psychology of golf, sports, etc. It appeared to me that this book was produced quickly in an attempt to make some $.

Just a collection of stories.

A collection of stories. Nothing that’s really going to change your game or the way you think.

Try something different

Most golfers who read to prep for a tournament might choose a swing coach or putting technique read (or listen). This is a great alternative if you aren't looking for technical help before a match, round or tournament. Or even just your Saturday money game. These anecdotes may help you prepare your mind and confidence for that round. You've tried everything else! Try this!

Good stories. Good insight. Easy to relate to your own game.

Not sure what kind of book this is

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A complete different story

What was most disappointing about Dr. Bob Rotella and Bob Cullen ’s story?

I've a couple of his other books but telling hole by hole of what pro-players do is not what I was looking for

What didn’t you like about Dr. Bob Rotella’s performance?

The whole premise of the book
