A seemingly routine case leads DI Stephen Mackerel on the manhunt for a disturbed vicar, who believes they can speak to God.

Meanwhile, Julie McBride—a deceased, middle aged woman of faith— embarks upon a violent journey of self-discovery—in an afterlife where pleasure and pain have become intertwined.

Featuring an outstanding performance by narrater Adrian Sinden, God's Gift is a shocking yet laugh-out-loud funny crime/fantasy that explores the lines between faith and insanity, morality, obedience, and consequence.

A wild ride from start to finish—God's Gift is unlike anything I’ve listened to. The story is bizarre, hilarious, and deeply unsettling in the best way. DI Mackerel's pursuit of a delusional vicar is gripping, while Julie McBride’s surreal afterlife journey is both disturbing and oddly moving. Adrian Sinden’s narration is phenomenal—he brings every strange and vivid moment to life. Highly recommend if you like your crime stories with a heavy dose of the unexpected.
