Summary
From Wall Street Journal best-selling author Aleron Kong comes Awakening, book one of God's Eye, the long-awaited second series of the Labyrinth Universe!
Discover a unique new world seen from the perspective of a newly born god in a breathtaking saga of divine proportions.
Telos is a world at the center of a Universe. A bright jewel wrapped in a Lattice of realities. It is a world that gods and demons call home at the beginning of a new age. Remy is a newly risen deity, struggling to survive in a Battle Royale where the consequences are worse than death and last longer than damnation.
He will find that he cannot live with his tribe of worshippers. Their strength is his, and his is theirs. Other tribes want nothing more than to feast upon their flesh and consume their power. It is a deadly race of technology and power, faith and corruption, of commoners and legends.
Gods of ancient pantheons and demons of forbidden nightmares compete in a timeless game where the stakes are the souls of every living being. These old forces will come to fear a newly risen god.
His name will become a curse on their lips. His name will be a chant in the mouths of the faithful. His name will be carved in time.
Zero Fell, Zero Fell, ZERO FELL!
My friends, this book is five years in the making. Set in the same Universe as The Land, I hope you enjoy this new world with new magics. New friends to cheer for and new enemies to hate.
As always, I wish you a wonderful life!
Peace, love, and the perfect margarita,
Aleron Kong

a great start to a series
I enjoy Alerons style and that this very different book has been interestingly linked to The Land. I will be reading on when the next books are available.
the premise of this book is certainly different and I have not seen the like before. it is quick to get to the main story and will draw you in immediately.
the first chapters are based on a world which is not explored further and it would be amazing for a 3rd series to be set in.

Absolutely worth a go
This book differs enough from Aleron's other series that there's no feeling that this was in any way a "knock off" rehash ands stands on its own merit as a great first book to the series. I have no complaints or criticisms and would absolutely recommend this book to anyone with an interest in the genre. Thank you Aleron for a great book.

I felt mixed about this
A good story line but could not compare to the land series. Found myself struggling to follow the slow story and buildup. I preferred the land series more and still waiting for book 9. Would love to give Aleron Kong the benefit of the doubt in regards to the Gods eye...hopefully later chapters will pack more action, intensity and excitement.

Utter tedium
It's got a lot of the childish adolescence of the Land books, with a main character identical to Richter his other books. As such this has nothing to offer his other series doesn't do. Kong would have better used lockdown writing the next land book instead of this rubbish.

Another masterpiece from Lord Aleron Kong!
As an avid fan of The Land, and a self-styled loyal reader to Lord Dr Aleron Kong, I like most of the community was surprised when he announced a second series set in the same universe as The Land. Again, even as a loyal reader, I, like much of his fan base, was apprehensive about God’s Eye: Awakening.
When I discovered The Land in June 2019 I immediately fell in love with this universe. As an avid gamer and longtime fantasy reader I was impressed to find a series that combines the two! When I started reading The Land, book 7 had just come out and I was excited to find a new series that had tons of content, and even a 49 hour book!
I devoured The Land so naturally when God’s Eye was announced I was apprehensive that this new flashy series would detract or take away from the series I had been loyal to for a while.
This could not be further from the truth! God’s Eye: Awakening (book 1 in the God’s Eye series) has the wonder and novelty of book 1 of The Land, whilst also possessing the vast writing knowledge and skill of book 7. This is quite literally as close to perfect as I’ve seen!
God’s Eye takes place soon after an event in book 5 of The Land but back on Earth. You follow the path of Remy, a human dealing with his own issues and problems as he journeys to a new world and a new life.
God’s Eye has a darker tone than The Land but still has sufficient elements of wonder and beauty for anyone teenage or older to enjoy it! It shares similarities to the LitRPG mechanics of The Land but with awe inspiring and awesome differences. This book has some of the single coolest scenes of any I’ve read and I’m confident you will love it like I did!
Disclaimer: I received this book early as a member of the AAC (advanced audio copy) team. I have not been paid or compelled in any way to write a positive review. These are my honest thoughts.

God's Eye - Already Craving the Next Book
Hello Readers,
I am one of the few who is apart of the Advanced Reading Group for God's Eye so I'll be writing an early review.
First I'll touch on a general sense of the book, God's Eye is absolutely amazing and captures your attention entirely during your read! If you loved Aleron's Series The Land, then this is a giant piece of pertinent lore and systems that we will see interface with occupants of The Land!
Now about the book itself - God's Eye is about a young god gathering resources and followers to grow his powers and make his stand on a new and brutal world call Telos in a 'dimension' that is known as The Labyrinth. In Terms of story writing character creation and overall development and plot I would say it's a huge improvement overall. It's a very dark and brutal world that this young god finds himself in so if you are looking for something light hearted this is far from it. This brutality is exactly something I would expect to see in The Labyrinth, as when referenced in The Land others are excited, cautious and maybe even fearful when discussing the dimension.
Again this is an absolutely amazing story and I believe it has a godly amount of potential. I dare say that this series could have more potential than The Land itself, although I will be reading both series no matter what as I am now forever hooked!
As for the Narration, it was absolutely fantastic. Luke did an amazing job and captured all of the voices really well. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ across the board for me!

What is happening to these new books!
The Land series is AMAZING... just up until Monsters. Predators may be my all time favorite which I've listened to multiple times. With Monsters, once is plenty. Unfortunately something has changed in Alaron's formula because God's Eye is following in the footsteps of Monsters rather than the first 7 terrific books.
I'm half way through listening and literally care nothing for the character. Please Alaron, get back to basics, stop with the juvanile pee/poop scenes, get back to your original magic system, and have Richter start knocking out the multiple quests he still has backlogged.
Last, I like Luke Daniels but he just doesn't fit the character, and if he is going to continue narrating this new series PLEASE have him stop grumbling Remy's inner dialogue. He's just reading a prompt, what's with the troll voice!
If this was any other author I'd have given it 1 star, but The Land 1 - 7 is so great I just couldn't bring myself.

Can't wait for more!
Having an opportunity to be part of the early listener group for this book, I was absolutely thrilled with the way the audio turned out for this book. Luke Daniels is a rockstar as usual and the author turned out one of his best books yet.
I was nervous when he announced he was doing a new series, I like many others of his fans simply wanted more of the land. this book did not disappoint however, It is much darker than his previous novels this book kept me engaged the entire time and I cannot wait for more.

Deliciously Violent and Brutal
God’s Eye have already become one of my new favorite series. There is an honest realism in the brutality of a world filled with gods. Do not read this book if you are squeamish or have an aversion to violence. If you have a secret bloodlust that you need to feed then this is definitely a book for you. The intensity starts from the very beginning and rarely gives you a breather. God’s Eye isn’t just filled with violence and gore though. I found myself constantly laughing at humor very much like my own. Aleron has expanded on an already amazing universe with this new series. I didn’t think it was possible but he has created something that is as good as, if not better than, The Land. I am eagerly waiting for more. And as always Luke Daniels was phenomenal in his performance and narration. I was an early listener for this book

Another masterpiece!
God's Eye is a spectacular start to a new series! It immediately sucks you in and never slows down. It's fast paced and such a fun read! I was lucky to be an Early Listener for God's Eye. Luke Daniels does an amazing job bringing the characters to life. He captures the character's voices and the overall flavor of the story flawlessly. I absolutely recommend, and eagerly look forward to the next installment.

Love it.
I am an advanced audio listener.
Aleron and Luke made an amazing team!
Alerons writing did not disappoint in this new series. Gods eye is in the view of a God. we get a taste of things in a way I have never seen before, all the while the details are brought to life by Luke.

kong is awesome.
ALL of Dr. Kong's books are auto buys. Just accept the fact and move your audible account credits higher if you are behind.
