Summary

A wild world of magical creatures and heroic adventure from the extraordinary imagination of Philip Reeve.

The squabbling goblins who live in the great towers of Clovenstone spend their time fighting and looting. Only clever young Skarper understands that dark magic created by a vanquished sorcerer is rising again. From the lands of men come fortune-seekers - and so trolls, giants, cloud-maidens, boglins, swamp monsters, tree-warriors and bloodthirsty goblins are swept into a fabulous magical conflict to thrill all fantasy fans.

This is the best book ever

Anyone who looks at it just get it! If you don't give this book a 5 star rating and read it I will boil like a chicken in a pot! (Benen, 8 years old)

A Pleasant surprise.

Lot of fantasy in the story, with lots of fantasy creatures of some i have not heard of yet could picture them so clearly in my mind. Enjoyed the story plot and twists. The main characters were likeable. It certainly made be want to listen to the next book.
