Feels fitting that Hayley posted Girls like Girls (the song and video) at 24. I was 16 when I watched it and it changed my world, and arguably the world.

Now I’m listening to the audio adaptation at 24, gay, and heart full. I’m grinning at not only the new lore but all the queer artists involved (I adore Katie Gavin). My only qualm is that the voice artists only voice their characters on the internet chat, but thats probably a POV choice. Hayley speaks all their voices when talking from Coley’s perspective.

But honestly a great story, honest, and truthful to the internal experience of living your wlw queerness in high school in the 2000s / early 2010s. The mistrust of men, the panic of a girls touch on you even brief… relatable and true. Thank you for this amazing gift, Hayley.
