A shadow of its former self.

Cut to within an inch of its former self. It was not writen as a short story, why turn it into one?

I really don't like abridged.

Any additional comments?

abridged chopped up a story that could have been entertaining and left me wanting. I like both authors and have enjoyed most of their books. This was a disappointment.

Who abridged this book?

What disappointed you about Generation Warriors?

The best parts of this book have been abridged out. I am not sure who decides what is worth being left out but all the parts of this book that made it funny and engaging were left out.

Has Generation Warriors turned you off from other books in this genre?

No because I read this genre all of the time. I won't listen to an abridged book again.

good story. Audio not quality

I enjoyed the story and cringed at only having the abridged version available. The audio quality was lower than I'm accustomed to with audio books with the audio sounding like it was filtered by cotton.

TOO much omitted/DON'T WASTE your time/money, READ

In abbreviating this final volume of the Planet Pirates saga a major disservice has been dealt to the author. Much story detail and explanation has been omitted, leaving big gaps that otherwise would have enhanced the overall story. The lost details of Ford's and Dupaynil's journeys in search of connections for the court trial are adventures in their own right, building a strong foundation for the fight against the Planet Pirates. The lost details of Sassenack's and Lunzie's journeys further reduce the overall impact of this conclusion to the series. In addition to the butchery done to abbreviate the audiobook there is also the irritation factor of the narrator's mispronunciation of frequently used words and names. Frankly, if an unabbreviated version cannot be had, you will get much more out of READING the BOOK.

Good for a continuing story.

This was a good continuation for the Dinosaur planet survivors. If you have not read the series, this book will confuse the heck out of you. This story does not stand alone. It is like a chapter of a continuing story. And this would be chapter 6 or 7. If however, you have read all the previous books, (which audible does not have) you will like the story. There is no description of the main characters in this installment. The total story (all the chapters, is quiet well written. It is only hard to follow if you do not have all the books or the proper order for them.
Read it yourself if you can. The performer is rather bland and does not contribute much to the story.

Abridged definitely makes book hard to follow.

This book by McCaffrey and Moon is one of the greats UNTIL someone thought it a great way to save money and cut the c%@£ out of it. If I hadn't been a fan, I would not have been able to follow the chopped storyline into any kind of sense. The narrator was good but the muffled audio quality reduced it to a serious strain to understand. I hope the powers that be (ha ha) decide to remake this beauty and polish it up to meet it's wonderful potential.

Poor Audio Quality

It sounds like the audio is playing through a paper towel tube. This is the type of audio quality you would expect from an old cassette tape. Its like they took an old tape and just used the audio instead of trying to find a clear copy or get it rerecorded. If you are the type to follow along with the printed book version(not many are) you will find that there are pieces missing. There are parts of conversations that were skipped over.
