The era after the zombie apocalypse

I'm new to Joseph Talluto's White Flag of the Dead series, but that didn't matter. There were some obvious references to prior stories, but that didn't take away from my enjoyment of listening to Generation Dead: Volume 1. The storyline moved along and set things up for more books. I also enjoyed SW Salzman's narration.
