Betrayal & Lies

This was an incredible sequel! Lana recently discovered that her grandmother is a Gifted with a seat on the council. Her most recent mission is to infiltrate and access information to give the rebellion an upper hand in the fight for equality. Lana’s Magic is going crazy again with the strain of her bond of being separated from her four guys and there’s also a mole in their midst- who can they trust? I love getting to see Lana learn more about the Gifted and a little bit of her family and it’s past. Her grandmother was so sweet and definitely had an open mind when it came to the Blighted. Her relationship with Corvin and Fenris heats up in this sequel and things also start to get better with Aiko and Jae. This book was filled with heartbreak, betrayal, steam, and revelations that left me wanting to see how it all ends!
Heather did another amazing job with this narration! She managed to bring all of Lana’s emotions to life with her performance and kept me engaged until the very end.

Things are heating up!

Things sure do start heating up in book two! Not only are things getting more dangerous and mysterious but the heat is finally picking up between the MC and her males. I am really loving this story and look forward to seeing where things lead!

Heather Firth continues to give a fantastic performance. She keeps you riveted throughout the story with her stellar character voices.

Game of Lies starts where book one lets off.
The plot is starting to thicken, with intrigue, suspense, action, betrayal and we learn more about the characters as they get to know each other. This is a definite slow burn, but signs of progress in there relationship and the chemistry is definitely there.
Looking forward to book three.
Heather does a wonderful job bringing these characters to life.

Holy cliffhanger Batman!

This is the second book in the series. I really loved the first one, this one though seemed to drag a bit. Still a slow burn. I do wish it was a bit faster burn. It had some crazy twists, and ends on a doozy of a cliffhanger. The narrator did a great job with most of the voices, but a few male tones. Overall a really great listen, I can’t wait to read more.

Kicking butt

This series has been a slow burn reverse harem and we still haven't gotten any steamy scenes but the bond between them all is tight and romantic. Lots of action, suspense and mystery! Which always seems to come with a twist ;) I like this series and am excited for the final audiobook next. The narrator and author both kick butt with this audiobook.

Don’t let this great listen leave you

Book 2 in the series . The author picks up where book 1 finished . The plot and characters get stronger . The story has lots of action. Warning you there is a cliffhanger.
Heroine is Lana .
Lana is still not sure how the other world , the world of magic works. It’s new to her . There are some scenes that will have you hold your breath wondering what next. Lana will need her game face on to know who she can real trust and who will put a dagger in her back . Lana is not use to her men , when she calls them hers she gets a tingle and she knows that they are hers . Lana also finds out who her grandmother is , Lana didn’t know that her grandmother was gifted and how some questions need to be answered . Her men know she is theirs but they need to show her how to make the bond stronger

Heather performance was strong , clear .

What an amazing and engrossing story!

This book picks up where book one left off. Lana is learning more about her powers, trying to get closer to her grandmother and the council. Unfortunately the undercover life is not her forte and she hasn't made much progress, until a bomb goes off and her life changes again. Fair warning this ends in a huge cliffhanger.

Had no end

This book has a good story line but it does not have an ending so you have to buy the others to get one I assume.

Wonderful Continuation of the Story

This book picks up right where book 1 left off and I was thrilled to start it. The 4 men and Lana have a plan. She is going to infiltrate the capital and give them the information needed to change everything. This story was great. There are a lot of things I loved that I cannot tell you about because it would be spoilers for book one.

The narrator did a great job with voices and feelings. I can honestly say, I've enjoyed these two audiobooks more than most because of her. I really loved the new ladies in Lana's life. There is such a difference between the classes that it is super sad. There were several twists that I didn't expect at all. Now I cannot wait to see how this all turns out, as it was left on a cliffhanger!

It was a 5/5 for me.

Love the story...... where’s the 3rd book?

I have fallen in love with this audible series but am sadly disappointed the 3rd book isn’t available. Why put the first 2 out of a person can’t get the ending?

Great Second Book

This one jumps in right where the first one left off and will grab you from the moment it starts. I am glad there was more development for Lana with her guys but I do wish for even more. Hopefully it’ll happen in the next book. I just love her interactions with each of them. Though do be warned this book does leave off on a huge cliffhanger and I want to punch certain people for their choices. A lot is revealed in this book and you understand way more about this world. I just hope Lana and her men can make it out of this situation in tact. I can’t wait for the next one.

The story continues!

Book two jumps right into the story we left off on book 1 and never quite lets go. In this book, Lana and her guys have hatched a plan to infiltrate the gifted government, but things don't go quite as planned, which almost jeopardizes everything for Lana. I'm really loving this series so far, though I still want more romance! I love a strong, fast-moving plot, but I'm in it for the romance, and while things are progressing, it's not fast enough for me. I want more!

I'm still enjoying Heather Firth's narration - she delivers a great performance. And, after that ending, I am so glad book 3 is already out because I would have gone nuts if I had to wait!

Wow the twist and turns in this book

Wow this one had so much happening. Lana and her men are staring to show more affection for each other throughout the book. We get to see Loss and betrayal in this book. That twist at the end I did not see coming

Prefer the audio

Lana has an opportunity to infiltrate the highest levels of the Gifted Government for the Resistance. She can identify their strengths, their weaknesses, and maybe find those who would be sympathetic to their cause. But it doesn't take long to realize that she is in over her head and that she needs her four. She stands to lose more than she bargained for.

I am still having issues with this series. I would like more character-building, character growth, and relationship focus. I still feel like we are being told emotions rather than feeling them with one exception in this book and it had nothing to do with Lana and her four. There was no magic development at all. Lana is supposed to be so powerful that her magic couldn't be contained in one body. Yet, she can't do anything naturally and isn't being taught how to wield her power. I feel little attachment to the characters, their relationship, the Resistance or the Gifted. This makes it difficult to be as invested as I like during a book. Plus, I would like to see Lana and her guys get at least one small victory in this fight. So far, they have been outmanned, outmaneuvered, and out-magicked. Frustrating.

Heather Firth does an excellent job with Lana and her Grandmother. She manages three of Lana's four wonderfully too with the exception of her succubus voice. It is a little creepy. All of the side characters, including a tv-addicted ghost, are superb. Her range is impressive. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer
