About this listen

Simon just wants to run his antique shop in peace.

But then he finds a small mysterious box that’s (probably) haunted, and his shop is broken into by the hottest man he’s ever seen who then steals said creepy box.

Now demons are after him and his only hope is to trust the tall, muscled, combat-boot-wearing thief who claims to be the son of a fallen angel.

Galen is charged with protecting humanity from dark forces. Cursed with Wrath, he’s hot-tempered and spends his days fighting demons and trying not to kill his six brothers when they irritate him.

His number one rule? Never fall in love. But then he meets Simon, a clumsy human who asks way too many questions and is—unfortunately—a total demon-magnet, and he starts breaking his own rules.

What’s inside the box, and why do the demons want it so badly? One thing is for sure… Simon can kiss his peaceful, ordinary life goodbye.

Book 1 in the Sons of the Fallen series. A low-angst urban fantasy MM romance featuring a grumpy half-angel and the human he swears he doesn’t like (he’s lying), seven warriors representing the deadly sins, a seaside mansion where they all live, banter, a snarky demon, and a HEA.

The audiobook got me hooked on the series.
I’m crazy for supernatural/paranormal sagas and the book hit all the marks for me. Thrilling, funny while also emotional, with a promising plot and outstanding supporting cast. Also, a good pace throughout.

Nick J. Russo did an amazing job, as usual! Looking forward for the next release.

Thrilling series!

Who really cares that the plot is weak when the romance is sexy and sweet!? 😍
Seriously, the plot was a bit weak and almost not existent in the middle. But the romance was really good and the best part of the book.
The narrator also did an amazing job.
I’m impatiently waiting for the next book now.

A very good start of a new series

Having LOVED the book series, the audio was eagerly awaited and didn't disappoint. The narrator brought out character nuances that were really subtle but added so much depth. The story is a sweeping fantasy series and this is the perfect first installment.

Really loved the world building, and the relationship between all 7 brothers. While I enjoyed it and had a good time reading it, I feel like this could have been the start of a truly phenomenal series, it’s got so much potential but it’s a bit too fluffy. I think if it had been a touch darker and much more intense with a serious plot it would have been incredible. The whole angles, demons, vamps, witches and shape shifters is some pretty good plot material and I feel like it’s slightly underwhelming. A bit rushed in places and the relationship, while cute, is underdeveloped. I get the fated mates & instant attraction etc but I would have loved a little more depth than what I got. But now I know what to expect I’ll happily read/listen to all 7 and just take it for the lighter fun read that it is. The spice was good, the magical stuff is interesting and I’m looking forward to the POV of all the others.

My favourite character by far in this is Gray, he’s so adorable and I can’t wait for his book.

Jaclyn wrote two of my favourite books (Axios & Eryx) so I was really optimistic going into this, so I’m hoping this was just the starting point and hopefully get a little more depth with the rest of the series!

🎧 Nick was incredible. I love his voice, especially his softer tones.

It’s good!
