Fight to win. Survive the future. With the galaxy in turmoil, the Legion initiates Article Nineteen, a hard reset designed to halt the corruption and ineptitude that continues to spill forth from the Galactic Core. Story
We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

They were the Savages. Raiders from our distant past. Elites who left Earth to create tailor-made utopias aboard the massive lighthuggers that crawled through the darkness between the stars. But the people they left behind on a dying planet didn't perish in the dystopian nightmare the Savages had themselves created: they thrived, discovering faster-than-light technology and using it to colonize the galaxy ahead of the Savages, forming fantastic new civilizations that surpassed the wildest dreams of Old Earth.

The scum hiding deep inside the Reach out along galaxy's edge thought they could kill her and not pay the price. For years these hardened killers have run roughshod over the lawless worlds where Republic justice is never as fast as the blaster in your hand and where double-crosses and death are a part of every deal. They thought this time would be no different. They were wrong. This time, the Guild sent the legendary bounty hunter Tyrus Rechs. As the infamous Rechs pursues the men who murdered his colleague, he's hell-bent on justice.

From the Audie-nominated narrator of The Martian. In eleven years time, a million members of an alien race will arrive at Earth. Years before they enter orbit, their approach will be announced by the flare of a thousand flames in the sky, their ships' huge engines burning hard to slow them from the vast speeds needed to cross interstellar space. These foreboding lights will shine in our night sky like new stars, getting ever brighter until they outshine even the sun, casting ominous shadows and banishing the night until they suddenly blink out.

Summary
Galaxy's Edge, Part III contains Sword of the Legion through to the end of Prisoners of Darkness.
Daring heroics, sacrifice, and courage come together as the Legion attempts to contain the fire sparked at the Battle of Tarrago. But the galaxy is spiraling into all-out war.
Captain Chhun's Dark Ops squad is reunited with Wraith. When their mission to deny Goth Sulluss the shipyards he so eagerly desires goes awry, Chhun and Wraith must find a way to stop the Black Fleet's advance - even if it costs them their lives.
Meanwhile, an old friend from Nether Ops executes a covert operation that will turn the focus of the Last War of the Republic in a terrible new direction.
Following Goth Sullus's ruthless onslaughts against the Republic, a desperate House of Reason searches for scapegoats - and finds one, deserving or not, in Commander Ellek Owens. His sentence is cruel, unjust - and final. Unless Victory Squad has anything to say about it.
In the Umnar system, the soulless menace known as the Cybar seeks to break Prisma Maydoon - and to set the stage for the total annihilation of not only the Republic, but all life in the galaxy.

A solid 7 out of 10
I’m writing this review after finishing book 4.
If you accept the obvious Star Wars references regarding names, ion cannons etc, use of the force etc it’s enjoyable. Not forgetting other sci fi series names / concepts used from aliens, battlestar, Star Trek and many more it’s a great listen.
R C Bray as usual reads it so well and the ships AI even sounded like a happy Skippy the Magnificent.
Overall I want to see where this story goes. There’s a few twists im sure, it’s definately worth sticking with.

One of the best parts
Both books in this audio collection really fit well together. In the second book the various different story lines were both captivating and exciting.
The characters that were established in the previous volumes are also well developed here too. Of course RC Bray never puts in a poor performance and delivers the story perfectly.

Absolutely Fantastic
I'm really loving this series, I truly don't want it to end... R.C Bray is fantastic, it's amazing how he encapsulates the actors so well, his voice poignant, rhythmical, and I'm really pleased with the pace this book is read at, far more pleasant than the previous book which was based almost entirely around the battle of the black fleet and Goth Sullis... I am new to audio books and I struggled to keep pace with the events in that one but part 3 has been the most enjoyable by far... It's actually inspired me to begin to write my own sci-fi novel... Just a few paragraphs so far, but it's all down to this, and the wonderful life brought to it by Mr Bray.

Where Disney dropped the ball...
This is STAR WARS Supreme. A great story, great characters (somehow familiar) and an awesome plot. When Disney is creating a Sci-Fi Diversity Celebration Debacle, turning a Wookie into a Vegetarian, these guys are creating a high-end plot with unexpected turns and twists, jabbing at the whole diversity baloney and political correctness at every opportunity possible. Imagine Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek boiled down to it's pure essence severed with a big helping of Clonetroopers, Bounty Hunters, Sith and Aliens from sexy to haunting.....it doesn't get much better!
I don't know if any or both of them ever deployed to the middle east, but the way these guys build up and describe the race of the Zhee (!?!) will create flashbacks if you ever traveled/worked/fought in this region!!!
RC Bray is bringing the whole story to live. He is awesome. One of the best narrators I have experienced so far.
So, if you like the military, good hard core Sci-Fi, if you are sad that Star Wars was reduced to a mere shell of it's former greatness, if you are critical towards identity politics and you like to be politically incorrect. These are the books you want..and by the way, I hope they will write more!!!
