Summary

Gabriel's Inferno is the first in this intoxicating trilogy featuring Gabriel and Julia, following their sensual journey of forbidden love - with all the obsessive yearning of Twilight and the intensity of Fifty Shades of Grey.

One man's salvation, one woman's sensual awakening....

Gabriel Emerson is a man tortured by his dark past. A highly respected university professor, Gabriel uses his notorious good looks and charm to lead a secret life of pleasure where nothing is out of bounds. Sweet and innocent, Julia Mitchell enrolls as Gabriel's graduate student, and his immediate attraction to her, and their powerful and strange connection, threatens to derail his career.

Wildly passionate and sinful, Gabriel's Inferno is an exploration of the intense power of forbidden love.

Sylvain Reynard is a Canadian writer with an interest in Renaissance art and culture and an inordinate attachment to the city of Florence.

Wonderful

I have waited for this to be available on audible for a long time. I enjoyed the books so much and couldn't wait to 'hear' them. It was wonderful, John Michael Morgans' voice is perfect, so full of expression and belonging to the story.

Great story but not the right narrator

I loved the story and both Gabriel and Julia. But the narrator made her seem silly and childish towards the end

Slow story

I really struggled to finish this book, I almost quit on it so many times but a friend recommended the trilogy to me so I pushed through to the end.

I enjoyed the characters and the story line but I found the story a very slow read, nothing really seemed to happen for long parts of the book, I felt like I was waiting for the story to get going constantly and this made the book boring for me.

I will be returning this book.

Awesome

Loved this book. I have paperback copy as well as it downloaded on both my kindle devices so it's always to hand, now I have it here too. Have to say I have enjoyed listening to this. I thought it'd be weird an awkward but it was just awesome.

Loved this book

Had read the paperback before but the audible version was excellent. I loved the story line and the relationship between Gabriel and Julia which builds as the story opens up and intensifies. Looking forward to listening the sequels.

Ok but not terribly gripping

Would you try another book written by Sylvain Reynard or narrated by John Michael Morgan?

I am intrigued to read the next book in the trilogy, hopefully it will have more suspense.

Have you listened to any of John Michael Morgan’s other performances? How does this one compare?

no

Did Gabriel's Inferno inspire you to do anything?

yes
