Meh
Looking for an in-depth book on fundraising for non-profits? This isn't the book. It's mostly full of "tips" for fundraising for small or super-small organizations. Need to raise $2000 for your org? Form a bake sale! Or a car wash! Someone basically wrote an ebook in a day and got their buddy to record the audiobook. Don't waste your time and find another book. Beware.

Interesting
This was an interesting book. What I liked:
- It gave some specific idea, like sandwiches and stuff.
- It showed how to contact people and squeeze more money out of them.
- It had both online and offline marketing tricks.
- It was one of the best books on the subject.
Thanks.

Good ideas
I've often wondered about fundraising myself. There are so many ways to get money, but it's not easy to have people open up their wallets for no reason. Sure, the cause itself needs to be something they care about, but there is so much more involved. Giving them something back, making it fun, or thanking them a lot or following up are all ways that are described well in this 90 minute book.
One thing that I didn't know about, for example, is how to follow up and move people up the ladder to donate more or up their recurring payments. Working with other organizations instead of competing against them counts too. This is a great book. Disclaimer: I received this book for free, but it was my own choice to write a review.

Excellent
This is good.
Oh, what else can I say about it? Well, it was just THAT good. Haha! No, just messing with you. It was just a nice book to listen to, and if I ever want to start a fundraiser, I know what to refer to. I learned a lot. Just because you have a good cause, doesn't mean people are willing to give you money (or the poor kids in Africa for that matter). It's almost like selling real products in a commercial context.

Definitely worth it
I think the first several chapters were my favorite ones, since the entire idea that the subtitle refers to, is explained. All the basics are here. Later in the book, more depth gets included, and I believe this is what makes it so great.

I liked this
Fundraising can be such a success! I've seen it so many times. And these principles lie at the heart of making such campaigns a success. I think this book is full of good tips for newbies, but also something to look back at and reflect on for those who have been in non-profit organizations for a while.
