Meet Francine Witt: successful blogger, influencer, and wine expert. Not quite the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalism she envisioned, but successful nonetheless.

When an auction for a long-lost bottle of 1943 Margaux—a rumoured key to Queen Nefertiti’s hidden treasure—takes place, Francine covers the event. But things take a thrilling turn when she witnesses two men steal the precious bottle from renowned Egyptologist Hermione Radcliffe, the auction winner. As prominent Egyptologists are murdered one by one, Francine finds herself thrust into the story of a lifetime.

FULL BODIED combines the intrigue of an Agatha Christie whodunit with the wit and charm of Bridget Jones, all with a feminist twist. Join Francine as she uncorks secrets, solves puzzles, and navigates a world where wine and murder collide!

Full Bodied got me right away with its mix of dark humor, eerie tension, and that slow-building uneasiness Steve Exeter does so well. One thing I especially like about the book is how the story blends everyday life with a creeping sense that something is very wrong. The mood builds steadily without relying on cheap shocks. Ella Whitehead’s narration is a standout. She has a naturally soothing voice that makes the quieter moments feel intimate, while giving the main character a believable voice that makes the unsettling, unnerving moments hit even harder. Overall, it’s a sharp, memorable listen with great narration and a story that sticks with you. I’m glad I listened to this one.

This is a great mystery, It has a little Agatha Christie, Bridget Jones and just for good measure Scooby -Doo. Francine Witt has a slot on a daytime television and a blog, but she wants to be taken seriously. She embarks on a treasure hunt, witch turns out to be very hazardous to health health. The narrator does a brilliant job. I enjoyed this story and hope there will be more books in this series.

This book is a fun, light mystery book with a cast of powerful female characters. Through her love of wine, Francine finds herself in the midst of an artifact hiest and murder mystery. Three generations of family history combine with ancient Egypt to add even more layers of intrigue. Definitely recommend.
