Story
Agreeing to meet Ryker Lockhart is my first mistake. Rich, handsome, and more than intriguing, he thinks blackmail will bend me to his will. But he’s wrong. I may have done a few things that weren’t exactly legal, but I have my own reasons for that. The last thing I’m going to do is let some high-powered divorce attorney come into my life, have my body, and rule my heart. Not to mention ruin everything that I have carefully built in just a short amount of time.

I didn't mean to star in a sex tape, okay? It was just one of those unexplainable things. Like Stonehenge, Police Academy 2, and morning glory clouds. It just happened. Now, my ball-busting father is sentencing me to six months of celibacy, sobriety, and morbid boredom under the roof of Boston's nerdiest girl alive, Sailor Brennan. The virginal archer is supposed to babysit my ass while I learn to take my place in Royal Pipelines, my family's oil company. Little does she know, that's not the only pipe I'll be laying....

Story
The first time I met Hudson Rothschild was at a wedding. I’d received an unexpected invitation to one of the swankiest venues in the city. Hudson was a groomsman and quite possibly the most gorgeous man I’d ever laid eyes on. He asked me to dance, and our chemistry was off the charts. I knew it wasn’t a good idea to get involved with him, considering the wedding I was at. But our connection was intense, and I was having a great time. Though the fun came to a screeching halt when Hudson figured out I wasn’t who I’d said I was.

Grant Malone is not the reason I moved back to Sunnyville - at least that’s what I tell myself. Yet, those parting words I said to him back in third grade ring in my ears every time a towns-person brings up one of the Malone boys. I thought time had healed my wounds. I was wrong. Nothing could have prepared me for how I felt when I finally saw him again. Twenty years does a lot to turn a boy into a man. One who hits all my buttons - sexy, funny, attractive, and a police officer.

Summary
Colton stole my heart. He wasn't supposed to, and I sure as hell didn't want him to, but he crashed into my life, ignited feelings within me that I thought had died forever, and fueled a passion that I never knew could exist.
Rylee fell out of that damn storage closet and into my life. Now I don't think I'll ever be the same. She's seen glimpses of the darkness within me, and yet she's still here. Still fighting for me. She is without a doubt the saint and I am most definitely the sinner.
He steals my breath, stops my heart, and brings me back to life again all in a split second of time. But how can I love a man who won't let me in? Who continually pushes me away to prevent me from seeing the damaged secrets in his past? My heart has fallen, but patience and forgiveness can only go so far.
How can I desire a woman who unnerves me, defies me, and forces me to see that in the deep, black abyss of my soul there's someone worthy of her love? A place and person I swore I'd never be again. Her selfless heart and sexy body deserve so much more than I'll ever be capable of giving her. I know I can't be what she needs, so why can't I just let her go?
We are driven by need and fueled with desire, but is that enough for us to crash into love?

I hoped the series would improve
Why am I still listening to a story where I dislike the main characters so much? I hoped for improvement. I wasn't impressed I do think that K Bromberg writes well in this book but the characters aren't for me and the narration doesn't change. in fact it may be partly the narrators characterisation that is preventing me from warming to the characters.

I absolutely loved this book. A beautiful love story sexy, steamy scenes that actually enhanced the book but didnt make it seedy. i will definitely read this over again and I have no doubt that I will enjoy it just as much the second time around. The characters were so believeable and the narration was spot on. I highly recomend this story.

Enjoyed nearly all of it!
I have really enjoyed the Driven series so far, this being the 2nd book. At times I really was lost in the story, and it very much stirred the emotions but one part went on too long, longer than I felt necessary, and I had to turn it off, it was just too harrowing. I am only one perspective on this so don't let it put you off! The performance was great until the male actor spoke as Rylee and that was not good! Happily it didn't happen much!

Very entertaining
Any additional comments?
Very entertaining read. Hot alpha H and smart h. I can not stand books where the h is all whiney and stupid, though I have read my fair share of those too. Its the difference between what makes me go back to an author or listen to a book only when there is absolutely nothing else. Right back to the story. The book was hot. The relationship/chemistry between the H/h was palpable. There was enough smex to keep you simmering but there is definitely a story that sucks you in as well. The story has a lot of internal monologue but it adds to the story. I also love books told from both H/h perspective and of course dual narrations. Both narrators were superb. In fact I have bought a few books from authors I never tried before simply because they were narrated by one or the other. They rounded off the book perfectly for me.

Book 1 is Exceptional BUT this book was Perfection
Any additional comments?
Wow, where to start :) I really liked Rylee in Driven, and here in the second book, she’s still the feisty, say whats on her mind, will not settle woman who came into Colton’s life, but she has also grown in this novel. Her determination to understand and help heal the man she loves, has her refusing to be pushed over and making strides in holding her ground against the force of nature that is Colton Donovan. And a force of nature he is ladies!!!! But even in her demands, Rylee is terrified that it will be these same demands that might drive him away completely.
I’m not going to give spoilers, but Fueled really gave more than glimpses of what makes Colton Donovan... Through his hard alpha male exterior, I really began to really get Colton and what he’s going through and trying damn hard to keep hidden. Boy does he have some things hidden, and, wow, what a story he has, which continues to unfold. At times I found myself really hurting with and for Colton. I just wanted to Hug him and tell him he is so worth loving and take the risk - let some of those barrier walls down...
Their internal and external battles with each other has you holding on to the edge of your seat and fanning at the increased intensity between the two. They each knew just how to tick the other off which resulted in certain lines being drawn in the sand, obstacles arising everywhere, and oftentimes, reacting from a place of fear and pain...
Fueled had a truly unforgettable, cliffhanging ending... It was breathtaking, emotional, thrilling, frightening, amazing, beautiful, and crafted in such a way that - Yet again - I’m hot as fish grease because “Crashed (Book 3)” hasn't been release yet. Grrr... I’m so thankful that this sequel was even better than the first novel, but you must read Driven first!!. K. Bromberg is an amazing writer and I’m so happy that I this exceptional series.
Tatiana Sokolov and Sean Crisden are the perfect Narrators for this amazingly emotional story...

I couldn't make it to the end
I hung in there for so long, but finally gave up with about an hour to go....you expect the usual misunderstanding and then they make up and end up together....but this one dragged on for SOOOOOO long, even I, who loves a good romance, had enough....so hence I stopped reading. AND THE EMOTIONAL RIDE CONTINUES IN THIS SAGA
OH MY!!! Where do I begin with this one???? Well, let me start by saying that K.Bomberg writes some very riveting, emotionally jarring scenes and this book starts off with one.
In Fueled, we get some of Colton's POV narrated by Sean Crisden who did an amazing job (loved his performance). Colton's POV was raw, honest and he's such a MAN….LOL--
It was great to get his candid, gritty, vulgar thoughts throughout this emotional roller coaster relationship.
I felt for Colton because of the reason behind his duality of natures….Colton can be romantic, charming, funny and playful, but the way he distances himself from Rylee can also be considered a form of emotional abuse…at least that's what it felt like to me. Colton is a tortured man due to his past and readers are given a glimpse of that nightmare, and it was awful. But, I loved Rylee because she was able to love Colton and be strong for the both of them when she needed to.
Colton fears the verbal acknowledgement of commitment, but in reality Colton is committed to Rylee. From the moment he met her, there's no one but her. It was so funny to listen to Colton talk about Rylee's "voodoo magic" on him (I'm conveying that in a real tame terms since Colton uses other words…hahaha).
Both leads have extreme challenges, but I loved it when they were together enjoying the glory of their love. Their chemistry reminds me of the scene in Agua Para Chocolate, where the two leads come together and everything around them burns up in fierce flames….well, that's what Colton & Rylee's love is like…IT'S FREAKEN HOT, DESPERATE, CONSUMING, ON FIRE!!! And, their make-up sex is even hotter.
Some of my favorite parts included how Rylee dealt with the is how she deals the "biotches" that followed Colton, especially Tawny. Rylee doesn't hold back & I LOVED her sharp tongue. I also appreciated the friendship of Becks to Colton and Hatty (sp?) to Rylee. And, who could forget Rylee's boys??? Zander and the rest of the boys are endearing and amazing.
This book ends with another startling incident which will push readers to quickly devour the 3rd and final installment……Although this book brought me a lot of angst, it also brought about some relief as both leads grow and make progress in their love.

Talk about writing the characters to stupidity.
What could K. Bromberg have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Well.... This book started out as a promising squeal to "Driven" which I enjoyed. But then she managed to destroy the characters for me by letting them become the stupidest couple of people I've ever read... Talk about using half the book for them to beat around the bush like a couple of neanderthals! Seriously! Hours of it... Honestly It was so annoying how Riley sunk down in to the cliche pit of believing the pitiful bitch on the side - She had such promise! But no... Half the book made me roll my eyes and rip my hair out of how incredibly wasteful this whole second half of the book was. They could easily fixed this the first morning and filled the book with more hot chemistry and broken little boy revelations... But no - the total lack of letting anyone explain completely took the fun out of the story and everyone say all the wrong things. Did they all loose their whits? It just went on for way too long. Thinking the right things but never saying them... And then B.A.M!?? wth? Blææh.

Since Driven ended on such a dramatic cliffhanger, I was anxious to get Fueled to see how things worked out. Rylee just got on my last nerve for most of this book. The writing is so much like every other contemporary/erotic romance - isn't there any originality anymore? And all the references to songs - I don't think I'm alone when I say that I don't any of these songs, so inserting them into a story is just very distracting.
I suspect that when the third installment comes out, it will turn out that the story could have been told better in one well-written book rather than three mediocre ones.
Narrations wasn't all that good either. Sean Crisden was better than Tatiana Sokolov.

shallow and stereotypical
First, a reader needs to know the story ends unresolved.
Second, forced sex is not an act of love. When the female character says no several times and it's the forced sex that makes her see love it's just ridiculous.
Third, if one is listening for "the smutt" they're not very steamy.

Rylee is the worst romance character ever
I gave book one 3 stars because I found it had a good plot idea. However, the author did a horrible job with the development of her characters. The only likeable character is Beckett. He was the only one that had an ounce of sence. Rylee is a whiny stupid train wreck. Colton is just a hot mess. Haddie was okay until she told Stupid Rylee to take Colton back after the incident with Tawny and Colton. The sex scenes were overkill because they lasted for whole chapters. I hate to say this but I want to know how this train wreck is going to conclude in Crash. The narrator did a good job making Rylee seem just as if not more pathetic than she is. Thus book may have been better if it was just one book.

It goes on and on and on.
Same things over and over again. How much can a couple fight? It was hard to get into the characters for so many reasons. What's up with the point of view change in the middle for a brief moment and then never again. Also, can't a writer just write full book in one instead of one story in 3 books?
