Summary

The first child was taken from her house.

The second from his mother's car.

The third from her own bedroom.…

When Helen and Sean Phillips go out for the evening, leaving their teenage daughter babysitting little Frankie, they have no idea that they are about to face every parent's greatest fear.

Detective Inspector Patrick Lennon is hopeful that the three children who have been abducted in this patch of south-west London will be returned safe and well. But when a body is found in a local park, Lennon realizes that time is running out - and that nothing in this case is as it seems.…

Blending police procedural with psychological thriller, From the Cradle will have every parent checking that their children are safe in their beds…then checking again.

A well written story with a believable twist!

A good story. Well planned out. I know that the story was centred around the missing toddler but I felt that a little too much was made of the parents angst. At times I wanted them to get on with the story. Other than that, it was all good!

Ok but not brilliant

I thought this storyline was good, if maybe a bit far fetched, but the writing was clumsy and a bit juvenile in parts. It was easy enough listening but not as slick as it could have been.

Lovely twisty, turny thriller!

Kudos to Mark Edwards and Louise Voss for this thriller that keeps the reader on their toes. The story is well written and cleverly thought out, the characters are entirely credible with dialogue in keeping with expectations. I was particularly taken with DI Lennon, and look forward to reading more about him. James Clamp does an excellent job with a great deal of different people to voice and I was very impressed with his performance. A good story, well narrated with a satisfying amount of surprises. What more can you want?

Good in parts

The narrative had lots of momentum. sometimes the accents were questionable. Mostly enjoyable though. Worth a listen.
