About this listen
When a corpse is found floating in the River Thames, the police can at least be sure that identifying the victim will be straightforward. Around the dead man's wrist is a hospital band. On it are the words 'Dr F. Klein'.
But psychotherapist Frieda Klein is very much alive. And, after evidence linking her to the murder is discovered, she becomes the prime suspect.

"Nicci French's sophisticated, compassionate and gripping crime novels stand head and shoulders above the competition." (Sophie Hannah)
"Brilliantly crafted...masterly control of suspense." ( Daily Mirror)
Good follow on in the series

The story was pretty good, but I really don't need to know the entire contents of a shop she goes into, and some of the dialogue exchange between the characters was annoyingly slow. I am sure that most readers / listeners are quietly saying 'for goodness sake get on with it' !. If it was suspense the author was trying to build in by drawing out these conversations, I'm afraid she didn't succeed. If you can put up with that though, then its an easy read (listen).
Good story but just a tad too much padding...
