Summary

Many people are hesitant to step out of their regular roles and routines. The idea of putting yourself in a position to potentially fail can be frightening or stressful. But sometimes what’s keeping you in one spot may not be your own self-interest. In fact, other people’s wishes and the feeling that you “should” stay put may be tamping down your own preferences. What’s holding you back may be compliance, not comfort.

Good advice.

Interesting. Short however some good advice from an obviously more intelligent person than myself. Obviously.

Comfort versus Compliance

This brief podcast was an absolute eye opener. Clearly worth a listen particularly if you are at a crossroads in your career or social / family life. I highly recommend giving it a focused listening.

Insightful

This was very good and the author should consider writing a book to dig deeper into the problem of compliance over passion.

Meh...

This was a bit disappointing and ‘empty’ to Me. There’s other better books on the topic...wasn’t really anything compelling or insightful.
