Summary

Who knew cages and freaks would set me free?

Growing up in trailer trash hell, the carnival was my only happy memory as a child. I held onto the magic of that memory until I could finally escape. And like Alice down the rabbit hole, I entered a world beyond my wildest dreams. A world with a shiny, colorful exterior, but filled with rot and corruption underneath.

But no matter what these people put me through, I can't go back to my life before.

The man with the biggest secret is the only one I can trust. He's dangerous, but he's safety to me. He's broken, but he put me back together. I'll keep his secret. My heart hopes he'll keep me. But in a hall of mirrors, how do you know what's real or an illusion?

Every grueling night onstage is building up to a final show: The Wolf Man. Is he real or a hoax? Why do I feel such a pull to find out his truth?

Care to join me on this wild ride? Step right up.

Contains mature themes.

New favorite!

Crystal Ash has become one of my new favorite authors. I can't stop myself from listening and I can't wait to start the next book. This book starts a bit slow but picks up the pace quickly. Stilts starts of as a pissed of, grumpy man but when you start to get to know him you can't help but slowly falling in love with him.

Interesting new, fun series

4 Stars

Overall Rating ★★★★
Plot ★★★★
Humor ★★★★
Characters & Character Development ★★★
Narration ★★★★

Characters: Melody & Conner

Story: This was a good story for the first of a series. I really enjoyed it. I can't wait to see what happens next. The beginning was a bit confusing but I am intrigued. As far, as Reverse Harem series go, I'm following this one.

Narration: Alexander Cendese, Amelie Griffin - I don't love Alexander as far as his female voice. Amelia is one of my new favorite narrators that I'm going to look out for.

The accents ...

I'm from Alabama and I assure you, we dont sound like that. it's an interesting spin on a supernatural/ paranormal series.

Awesome!

I like sweet beginnings. This book has the drama and suspense, but also a sweetness that is Crystal's signature.

This book started out slow, but picks up after a few chapters. I can’t wait now to see what happens in the next book. It’s also nice not to have instant dislike between the main characters.
