Summary

How does Alburet feel about Stacia suddenly becoming his Succubus? How will her family react to her sudden change? While trying to handle this sudden transition, Mindblown is also going to take the server down for maintenance.

Alburet will have to deal with emotional turmoil, all while continuing to play the game he has been sentenced to play for life. What else is about to change in Alpha World?

Mindblown announces the ability to form guilds. Alburet sees an opportunity to form a guild himself and takes it.

Note: This is a continuation of the Alpha World saga. It contains real life situations, including sensual scenes that don't get fully graphic but might make you uncomfortable. It also contains hunting monsters and gaining levels, but not at a break-neck pace.

Could have gone better

The main character has turned into some creepy sex deviant...the story has pretty much slowed from the first book and after listening to the whole book i can safely say there won't be a third book for me to listen to.

boring

Really disliked all the sexuality and erotica.
I have nothing against erotic content, but in this story the main character is in his 40's and hi was actively trying to poke every female characters.

Good listening

With the exception of the prepubescent innuendo and sex scenes that sound like some thing an over imaginative teen would dream of these are a good listen and make for an enjoyable series

Brilliant sequel

I wasn't sure about Alpha world upon finishing the first book, I enjoyed the characters, but the cliffhanger at the end dangled the character over a dangerous devolution. Having finished the second book I am fully on board with this universe. The entire cast is well rounded and brilliantly realised. The fight scenes are intense and choreographed in a brilliant organised chaos that manages to bring the reader to the edge of their seat, a fabulous read.

eagerly anticipating the next in the series

I really enjoyed the second installment, I felt the story moved along nicely and reflected the title nicely.
I am looking forward to more in this series!

Good but cheese

I liked most of it but it gets a bit 50 shades and needs to back down. I enjoy the tease but not at the coat of 30% of the book.

all and all I still liked it.

Not bad, but Jesus man.

I don't mind it as much, this book, but damn the sex scenes are everywhere. Last book it took me by surprise, and put me offkilter, but I was prepared for it this book. So it wasn't as offputting, still excessive though. He should definitely focus more on the gameplay, building up the company, and character development, rather than the sex. Still enjoyed it though.

Enough with the "Kitten"

Devolved into a teenage masochists idea of women. i had higher hopes after the first book. Periods of it seem like the writer had no idea where to go with it.

Drops off about 1/3 in

I enjoyed the first alpha company book, it seemed to show promise, however this book does not deliver. It gets bogged down in a lot of high school esque social nonsense approximately 1/3 of the way in. The book also focuses on the “romance/sex” portions too much in my opinion. It’s like the author wanted to write a romance novel but needed to tie it to this series somehow. These parts are just graphic enough to be awkward when the come up on an open speaker, but not juicy enough to get off too, making them mostly just annoying. Ultimately it feels like the story didn’t really progress that much from the last book, and the progress it did make didn’t really come from any conflict or growth by the characters.

The narration is pretty good, although it seems as if he only has one setting, Intense. Overall I liked it from a production point of view

I won’t be continuing the series, which is sad because I thought it had much potential.

Little to much

Some parts of the book are to heavy on the "xrated" part. ITs a good story and exciting progression, the Other part just makes IT creepy. I Will still buy the next.

too heavy on the relationship for my taste

the gaming part of the book was good and I enjoyed it. However the romance Parts which was most of it was a little over-the-top for my taste.

It's a sex book

Only one fifth of this book is story. The rest is "Act like a normal human to NPC's and bribe them with money and they will be your best friends and all the women will lust after you and you will have lots of sex". I feel like his relationship with people is like watching an anime, "with the power of friendship"!

Great!

A great sequel which focuses more on the romance between the main character and Stacia.

This book also contains a decent amount of setup for the long term gamers and the creation of a guild.

My biggest issue is repetition. Such as how the party kills monsters, sells weapons, and repeats. Much of the combat is similar save for a dungeon raid. Another repetition is how much Alebret reassures Stacey and how Stacey keeps asking the same questions. I get it the first few times and it is quite touching, but it starts to get on my nerves. That is the reason for this book being 4 stars instead of 5.

Some people have issues with the nickname "kitten". I did not have fault with it.

The main character, party members, and many Npc's portray a portray a great deal of character growth and the story dives into their many backgrounds.

As for the narrator, he was the right choice for the book, with his deep voice for the MC and accents for the others. I only wish he could get a more broad range. When there are several people talking in the party, I notice a few of them sound similar and it is hard to differentiate. His performance with emotion makes up for this though.

I quite liked this book and have already purchased the next. If you made it this far, you will likely enjoy this book and series.

P.S. Bob is probably my favorite after this book.

Don't trust the bad reviews.

I don't understand the lack of enjoyment some of the other reviews mentioned having with this sequel. personally i enjoyed it just as much as the first. Especially with the increase in character building both in story as well as by the author.
