Summary

The danger, the chaos, and the lifestyle of the Hellions world has become far too much for Savannah "Sass" Perchton. Swearing off bikers and attempting a "normal" life, she has settled. She pushes away her old life, her old self. She is trying to fit into a mold, to be everything she never was.

He's a playboy - a different chick in his bed, off on a different ride, and always chasing something new. Frank "Tank" Oleander, Haywood's Hellions road chief, will give anything for his club, including his life.

When the fast pace of the Hellions life finally catches up to him, Tank finds himself at a crossroads. He is forced to face some life-changing thoughts or succumb to the darkness of death. Teetering on the brink of giving in, her voice is all he is holding on to. The coma he can't come out of is full of the memories he can't let go of. She's the light in the darkness.

She has left behind everything she has ever known chasing stability. His life literally hangs in the balance. Can she see beyond the chaos to the man behind the cut? Will they find their forever ride?

Contains mature themes.

SADLY I JUST DIDN'T CONNECT TO THIS LISTEN

This book continues where the last one left off.... now Tank's in a coma fighting for his life - and Sass - well she faithfully visits him every morning but, as the days drag on, there's no response and Sass decides the MC life is no longer for her. She's got a 'normal' loving boyfriend (Nick) waiting for her and Tank had made it clear where they stood so she takes the leap and leaves everyone and everything behind. Meanwhile Tank drifts in and out of awareness and understands what's going on around him but he can't move, talk or open his eyes and the darkness keeps claiming him no matter how hard he tries to fight it.

Time passes, situations change and both Sass and Tank are different versions of themselves.... gone is the fun loving sassy redhead and in her place there's a 'Stepford' version of Sass instead. Gone is the womanizing bad boy - now Tank's strictly a one woman man.... and he's patiently waiting for his woman to realize it. But they are both miserable.... until Sass calls her best friend for help.

I'm sorry and sad that this listen didn't work for me - most of the story was filled with Sass losing her identity and becoming a weak puppet who does whatever Nick wants.... I just wanted to shout "wake up woman" and slap her out of it. I know she was mentally running away from all her problems but it didn't make it any easier or enjoyable to listen to. And I didn't like the way she so easily walked away from her life and cut everyone out... including her loving MC Mom and Dad. I didn't feel any chemistry or burning love between Sass and Tank - this may have been due to the emotionally flat, and at times monotone, male narration. At the end things seemed to be wrapped up too quickly and without much fuss or heart-to-hearts and with only one scene having drama when Tank seeks revenge on Nick.

Worth a credit? IMO, sadly NO... I really didn't click with this listen and there was no happy vibe at the end of it for me. However, the ratings say I'm in the minority here... so maybe you'll love it - but I have to tell it as I feel it.

Most boring book ever

This was such a disappointment after how great the first book was. I hope the next book has some excitement and steaminess to it.

Narration took away from story....

The story was a fairly decent continuance of first book but the narrators didn't make it enjoyable.
Next book is with Jeremy York....cant go wrong with his voice! Will definitely listen.

Never mess with Daddies baby girl

When you threaten an MC president's daughter it's not your smartest move when they find out you have cameras in her apartment you might as well as write your death notice you cannot fight true love it always wins sometimes it takes longer sometimes shorter but true love always wins

Disappointed

There were a number of reasons this book didn’t work for me. Among the primary was that the hero and heroine spent virtually the entire book apart. We heard about their relationship in book one, saw snippets of it, but there was never enough to really buy into the HEA.

I was disappointed that the heroine was so clueless throughout the book. Even at the end, when she had bruises and a year of verbal abuse, she still played the situation off as no big deal. This didn’t serve the story or the readers well.

Spoiler alert: the pregnancy was completely unnecessary and did nothing to further the story itself.

The woman in the story really got on my nerves.

So this is the 2nd book out the series and so far it is my least favorite!! I didn’t like how she kept down playing the boyfriend’s controlling demeanor and his physical abuse. Even though he didn’t hit her he still physically abused her. Anytime a person puts their hands on a another person without invitation then that is abuse.

Great book horrible narration

The narrator is horrible! I can't stand to listen to the no emotion no feeling narrator. . . . Went ahead and read the book and it was amazing but the narrator I can't even stand for more than a couple of minutes

Terrible male narrator

This was an ok story in the end but much of it was a rehash of the first book from a different POV. That combined with the terrible, wooden male reader made me consider not finishing numerous times. I stuck with it because I like the characters and I want to continue the series. I hope the next one makes up for this weak showing.

SLOW

The main characters are not even together for 90 percent of the book. There are no flashbacks of them from the past. There really is just not much of a story. It could have been ALOT better. This is my second book of the series and so far I am not impressed. I may in the future try another but for now I am done. Just too shallow of a story. There is no development.

Absolutely a great read!

Loved it! When a book can suck you in and make u feel as if you are there, then you know its wonderfully written. The narrators was pretty darn good. Well worth the credit/money.
