The trials and tribulations of love, fortune and careers true to the Regency era. The mores and morals of the period frame this beautifully told story. The narrator does the book justice.

The story was ok but I have to agree with the comments about the narrator- I might have enjoyed the story more if someone else narrated it.

Great story, lovely clear reading.
The ending was no surprise but that is not dissimilar to Jane Austin’s stories.
I loved the phrases that were taken directly from Jane Austin’s novels and am sure that there were many more that I will find when I listen to it again.
