The audiobook is most excellent. When I was having trouble with reading the Middle English, people recommended the audiobook since speaking is easier to comprehend compare to the way it spells, they were right, of course. The narrator is fantastic, cannot recommend enough.

Great character descriptions, good story line and fantastic narration. Complex female characters and gallant knights abound!

Difficult to put down

For when you just need to get away from it all! Good story, not too cheesy and a good mix of good guys and bad guys to keep you listening. Narrator was nice and clear and the voices absolutely fine. I intend to download the next one to see what happens next. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book.

This is my 4th Laura Kinsale audiobook and ready to get part 2 with my new credit. I love her style of writing and Nicholas Bolton and his amazing narration just makes her books even more appealing. This one was different again to others I've listened to but just as good!

I always want to listen to Nicholas Boulton speaking Laura Kinsale but, at times, I find myself misering it so that it lasts longer.
I will be listening again, of course.
