Gutful was better, end chapter is a summary

All you need to know is summarized in the last chapter. A lot of different diets are explained in moderate detail in the other chapters.

Narration & strange pronunciation are irritating, she comes across as preachy at times & opinionated "those following palioh (as she pronounces it) diets may as well eat rats like their ancestors and get more nutrition" is 1 striking example.

2 big things that were left out were : the use of antibiotics used in animal farming & that being a major cause of antibiotic resistance, how was that left out as a consideration to humankind from someone with degrees like hers,I do not know.

Substitutions & making changes gradually/quickly depending on circumstances.
1 little thing : low sodium salt is not addressed.

Most people do not make changes ,because of taste preferences/habit /budget/culture & emotional attachment or comfort food brings, she didn't mention the time it takes for taste-buds to adjust to lower levels of both salt & sugar for instance. How to make these changes a "just do it" approach is hardly helpful. Her comparing vegan products to grass fed beef is a little ridiculous considering how out of budget it is for most & how little of it is available...

She is all for recycling yet admits that she doesn't even follow the planetary guidelines herself, while urging us to do everything we can for the environment haha.

She will tell you what to do ,not how to do it basically. I'm glad this was free.

Should you want to make changes to your diet that last t I would recommend : The Last Diet: Discover the Secret to Losing Weight - for Good By: Shahroo Izadi She addresses relapses,self-compassion & a method used for drug addicts while having struggled herself, the 1st chapter of her story is a bit on the painful side, but the rest is helpful for a life long eating plan.

The How Not to Diet Cookbook: 100+ Recipes for Healthy, Permanent Weight Loss
by Michael Greger M.D. FACLM for plant based recipes (mainly aimed for those in the US) it is quite popular for sticking to a tastier version of a plant based diet (unless you have a lot of uncommon food allergies & sensitivities)
