Summary

Bay Winchester and Landon Michaels are looking for a romantic outing, revisiting the past now that they know they met as children. That trip leads them to the camp they visited back in the day...and to a new adventure.

It’s a happy excursion down memory lane until they happen upon the old pool and discover a hand poking out of an ancient cover. That means their day off becomes an official investigation.

Once identification comes through, Bay starts digging...and hard...to find out why a young woman writing a book would go missing in Hemlock Cove. The information she finds is disturbing...and the answers to the present case may come from the past, and a long-forgotten missing person’s case.

There’s a lot going on. Mrs. Little is trying to buy the property and wants the crime kept secret, which means Aunt Tillie is on a rampage to make sure her mortal enemy doesn’t win...even if the prize is something she doesn’t really want.

The Winchester witches are in turmoil. The local police chief is officially dating Bay’s mother, one of their own is keeping a huge secret, and they have a wedding coming up so that means dress fittings and place setting decisions galore.

Bay is on deck and has to figure it all out. She’s going to need help to do it. Even then, with her team in place, she might not come out on the winning side.

There’s a killer hiding in the shadows and death is coming. It’s going to take everyone working together to uncover the truth.

Can they pull it off?

Witches, Murder Ghosts, and Laughs!

As usual, Amanda Lee delivers another fun romp through the lives of the Winchester Witches! My favorite series, now I can listen while doing my usual daily projects. The reader did a fine job, I just found a few of the voices to be not at all what I had imagined. But then, for some reason I have a hard time picturing Bay as blonde, as much as it has been a detai in the books from the beginning, lol. A wonderful listen!

A bit disappointed in the storyline

I'm a big fan of the Wicked Witches of the Midwest series, but this last book just felt like a filler...the storyline was familiar & predictable (basically boring), the story itself felt short while the events of the main characters' lives have been dragged out like a soap opera. I hope this is just a fluke.

Love this family! Dysfunction at its best.

This is a fun series I'm always looking forward to the next book. Blends generations of fun and dysfunctional family times. I like that the book continues to move forward and has added new characters along the way building on the relationships. In order not to spoil it I won’t tell you where it goes this time. But it was a very happy occasion. Can’t wait for book 15 also love the short stories.

great story

While the story kept me interested, the narrator was a distraction. Her voice is a bit annoying and awkward. I kept waiting to hear her say, "why I oughtta"... Still, the book was great.

Winchester Fun!

It’s always an adventure with the Winchester witches. This was not my favorite storyline, but the next book promises answers to some interesting situations that were left unresolved. The biggest issue was the narration. Everyone sounded like old folks. It took a while to get used to that.

Flip The Witch Switch

I was disappointed in this book. I buy each one as soon as released. Going to return this one. Chief Terry has always been a big parental figure to them, especially Bay. He would not be running around in his boxers in front of the girls, certainly not eating breakfast with them in boxers. He has always seemed very respectful to the girls. Glad they got together but running around in boxers in front of them seems very out of character
