A grumpy photographer. A golden-retriever firefighter. One calendar shoot, one very chaotic dog, and way too many sparks.
Nina Hayes likes order, quiet, and zoom lenses. She doesn't like dogs, especially not ones with more energy than sense. So when she’s roped into photographing the local fire department’s charity calendar, the last thing she expects is to be tackled by a Jack Russell Terrier... and his irritatingly charming owner.
Firefighter Drew Carter lives for chaos, community, and his dog, Max, who’s never met a stranger he didn’t lick. When a grumpy photographer stumbles into their world, Drew can’t resist trying to make her smile. Even if it takes a dozen donuts, a full reshoot, and a leash with her name on it.
As Nina’s carefully constructed walls start to crumble, Drew’s relentless optimism and Max’s not-so-subtle matchmaking begin to feel less like a nuisance and more like fate. But when Nina’s pretentious ex crashes the calendar launch, and the fire chief’s secret romance manuscript nearly goes public, things really start to heat up...
Perfect for fans of grumpy/sunshine romance, small town romantic comedy, and slow-burn love with a mischievous dog in the middle.

Nina is a photographer who loves order and dislikes dogs. So when she finds herself doing a photo shot of firemen and one of them has a dog who loves to lick people, she is not too pleased.
Drew loves his job and his dog Max is full of life and as a Jack Russell loves sniffing out trouble. Having to work together for a reshoot both Drew and Max’s charm start to work on the strait laced photographer.
Humour and romance.
