Five Have A Wonderful Time by Enid Blyton is a really good book and now a great audio book. Takes me back to my childhood when I read everything by Enid Blyton. I’m this book the 4 children and Timmy the dog go off to spend their school holidays in caravans. A nice relaxing holidays but being the 5 it has to have adventure in the middle! The narrator Jam Francis is very good and does the mixture of voices with great skill . My Children and now my Grandchildren love these books and as old as I am I am enjoying them again. I am now going to order another Famous Five audio book! I throughly recommend this for all ages. Just remember to have lashings of ginger beer hard boiled eggs and a smashing big home baked apple pie to hand!!

Yes. Jan Francis is Such a brilliant narrator and brings the book to life.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Famous Five: 11?

I loved all the usual famous five events. The mysterious face at the window was particularly Blytonesque!

Which character – as performed by Jan Francis – was your favourite?

Jan Francis did a great job on all of the characters but I particularly liked her "Uncle Quentin"!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Trip down memory lane. The complete unabridged story as intended, without cuts and rewriting. Jan Francis did an excellent job. I shall be downloading ALL of the series as a treat. With lashings of ginger beer! Goodbye everyone, see you next time!

I really liked this book and enjoyed listening to it when I was in my car my favourite character is joe because I fell she is a bit like me

Sadly "pence" used, and wear jeans instead of shorts, and it really jars. Rest of text as was and of the period, so it really doesn't make sense to alter anything. Such a shame.
