Instead, the first mate of the Gypsy Moth finds himself married to a galactic crime lord’s daughter and fighting off those that would make her a widow.

Busy watching his back while keeping her safe, Damon misses the deadliest attack of all. The one on his heart. She’s taken it, and he’s got to decide whether giving up his freedom is worth the price of love.

First Mate's Accidental Wife: In the Stars Romance

Listening to this story was a hilarious and interesting time. First Mate Damon Faulkner has been sent on a rescue mission. Well two, actually, one to rescue a young woman and two not to start a war with the Kanishqui. He manages to find her and it's more a bumbling haphazard more luck type of rescue until they're cornered. Then the young woman, turns to him and tells him to repeat some important word, which is sort of does with a question mark implied, and when she kisses him she bites his lip When they're approached by the alien who took her, she tells him/it that they are married and proves it with the mark in Damon's mouth. Now the Damon isn't too thrilled and is trying to figure out a way to get out of it when he discovers that the religion his "wife" is in is one that doesn't accept divorce..other than through death. Then things from bad to worse.
Logan McAllister is fantastic as the reader of this story and I was amazed as he did each of the characters in the story. He literally makes the story come alive and keeps you entertained with each of his interpretation of the characters.
Fantastic story telling!!!

Buy This Title Today

Despite a few issues had with the performance, I loved this audiobook. Not only was the story interesting and engaging, it had a few mentions to other titles that had me smiling.

There only real problem I had with the performance was the amount and timing of the narrator's pauses. There were quite a few of them and I was left wondering more than once if my device froze, only for the story to pick back up. But in the other hand, it was humorous when those pauses would coincide with my navigation system error alerts.

Wonderful Book!

I really loved this audio book. Logan is an excellent narrator and did absolute justice with Eve's book. The story was so much fun and moved a long at a lovely pace. Damon and Mishi were a fun couple and I enjoyed the interactions. I can't wait to start the next boom!

Cute and entertaining

The book was cute and entertaining. Damon is sent by the captain to rescue Michonne while he distracted the people who kidnapped her. They had issues as they tried to escape. Michonne then decided to "help" by making him her husband. This marriage is irreversible unless by his death. Follow along with the antics theses participate in as he tries to figure out how to annul the marriage while she tries to get him to stay. She also is a princess so she doesn't obey very well.
The narrator did a really good job of differentiating the voices so I had no problem following along.

Gypsy Moth Book One

Gypsy Moth Book One.

Michonne has been kidnapped by a Kanishqui and will soon be married to him. Damon is on a mission to free the daughter of his captain's friend, but when he finds Michonne they are trapped. Thinking quickly, Michi performs the mating ceremony of her people without informing Damon. Back on his ship, Damon is resistant to the change in his status and his relationship with this stranger. However, seeing her relationship with his shipmates quickly changes his mind.

If you're looking for a fun romp through space with pirates, princesses, cyborgs and aliens, this is the book for you!

Audio Review:
Logan McAllister delivered a straight forward narration of the story. He was not monotonous, but the intonations were very slight.

Listening about all the action on the Gypsy Moth was better than reading it. Damon was made even realer by Logan McAllister.

Cliche

I wasted a credit. I'm glad it was a short story. The narrator's voice was robotic and his inflections never changed, which was extremely annoying after 30 minutes.

Full of Fun

This uses a interesting trope. The rescue is in danger of failing but if they marry all will work out. Michi is ready to be rescued and eager to marry. Damon on the other hand knows he does not want to be married. It was fun to watch the two interact. The dialog keeps the fun going. I listened to this as an audio book and through the narrator missed playing up the humor. I did enjoy seeing Michi and Damon
