Toni Lamond
In this outstandingly honest and brilliantly entertaining autobiography, the famous and widely loved Toni Lamond reveals a private life as dramatic and colourful as any she portrayed on stage. From her spectacular rise to fame, to her marriage which ended in tragedy and led her to her near-fatal addiction to prescription drugs, Toni Lamond exposes the full story that lies behind Australian show business.
Beyond the bright lights of press conferences, opening nights and parties, she describes the poverty, misfortune and sheer hard work that is part of an actor's life. Toni Lamond writes as well as she has acted and sung, offering an inspirational saga of glamour and triumph, and a heartfelt memoir of distress and suffering - all told in a candid and witty style that is as engaging as it is genuine.
